We are new to the area, and looking for good Chinese food. This place did not disappoint. The chicken chow mein had a yummy smokiness too it, walnut prawns were flavorful with a hint of orange in the sauce, and the sesame chicken was crispy and flavorful as well (not too spicy either). The diningroom was super clean and had a great ambience to it, will definitely bring our friends and family here when they come to visit. Try Folsom Palace, you will be happy you did!

A great, new addition to El Dorado Hills. Located near Hwy50 next to Raleys, this is a cozy spot with indoor and outdoor tables. Modern, bright and fun interior. Ingredients are high quality and very fresh, and everything we ordered came out quickly and steaming hot.
We tried the hot & sour soup first. It was noted as spicy and definitely was, a perfect choice for cool weather. Next the spring rolls and potstickers. Tasty, though a little heavy on the dough for the potstickers. Both were very large portions. Our mains included chicken chow mein (northern style with thin noodles), pork fried rice, sesame chicken, lemon chicken and honey walnut prawns. The prawns were huge! Rice could’ve used a little more flavor while the noodles were a little heavy on the sauce. But, overall all items tasted good, and the menu was extensive so plenty to try out. If you’ve never been, definitely a spot worth checking out.

This is one of my favorite places in El Dorado Hills for a quick lunch. Lunch specials come with a main dish choice of noodles or rice and soup. One of my favorites is Thai basil pork which has loads of tender meat and veggies like eggplant in a delicious brown sauce. The waiter was super attentive and always made sure that our glasses were full. The food comes out quickly and is always delicious! Had a birthday dinner here…the service and food are still awesome.

This was my first time here. We chose lunch time to try their food. Their food was above and beyond. The protein was perfect, and their noodles were not oily and had a wonderfully flavor. I had the Beijing chicken which was crispy with a sweet and spicy tomato based sauce. What a wonderful and satisfying dish. The lunch special also comes with hot and sour soup that tasted great and was fresh and hot.

This was a great Chinese restaurant! Reallly enjoyed my meal…and sampled the other dinners my companions had.
Calamari was good; bed of cabbage it came on was REALLY good!
Hot & Sour soup was on point. Also had Kung Pao Chicken and Black Pepper Beef…everything was delicious!
It was a busy night and food came out quickly…maybe could have had one more server there to keep up; but overall it was a great meal.

The food is excellent, the service superb. They have a decent wine list and even the house cabernet is quite good. This is an excellent restaurant except:
All the tables are at right angles to the big front window. Half their customers face the window and have light shining in their eyes when they look across the table. They see their dining companions only as outlines, making conversation strained and unpleasant.

Best Chinese Restaurant in El Dorado Hills. Tucked between Raleys and The UPS Store, Folsom Palace Asian Bistro is a hidden treasure. Impeccably clean, kind servers and everything on the menu is delicious. All their dishes are made from scratch and you can taste the fresh, high quality ingredients. Their lunch is a great bargain. Dinner is pricier but you get family style portions. We’re so lucky to have this place so close to where we live!
