We are so glad we gave Sassy Bass Pizza a try! The crust was soft and good. And our pizzas had plenty of toppings. We added extra mozzarella on both. We are in the quiet, low key area of Fort Morgan in Gulf Shores so we are happy to have a delivery option for pizza here! You are paying for convenience as well and it’s worth a little more. Thanks!

We almost didnt order because of all the reviews saying it tasted like cardboard and such. Ive had pizza from several places around this country, and im not going to say its the best pizza ive had, but it was great! We picked it up about 30 mins prior to close which is the worst time to get a pizza, but it was made well, as ordered, and far better than a dollar general frozen pizza! These people complaining must have more refined palates than i do, but for hot pizza without having to drive all the way into town or cook it yourself, we thought this was great.

usage. It was ready in about 15 minutes and it was delicious! Better than any of the chain restaurants. We read several critical reviews and almost didn’t go in. So glad we chanced it! Not really room to eat in, so we took it back to our condo. Crust was perfect, sausage seasoned well. All pizzas are 16”so way more than two people could eat! Employee at counter was very friendly. A good choice!

Paid $57 for two pizzas. One had a HUGE bubble which meant almost half the toppings were gone, and the other had 15 pepperonis for a 14” pizza. It would be worth your time to go to a place closer to town and get more bang for your buck. When I went in for a refund, they wouldn’t give me a refund for the pepperoni because “that’s how we do all of our pepperoni pizzas” and when they tried to refund me for the other pizza their system “wasn’t working”.
It’s clear that they do not have an interest in providing good food or good service, only in making the most money by taking advantage of people staying out on the peninsula.

We were skeptical because of the little ratings this place has, our food looked and tasted amazing. The service was incredible. I’ve read some reviews and feel the need to share. I’ve eaten Sassy Pizza 2x/year on summer (May) and fall (October) vacation. I’d say this has been our pattern for 5-7 years now. We first started with takeout pizzas when they were available at the old grocery store on the backside of the restaurant. We’ve dabbled with delivery and carry-out.
That said, this pizza isn’t meant to blow your mind. For the area, 30 minutes from town, it’s never disappointed. I wouldn’t compare it to any pizza I’ve had with tons of options in the area, but it’s perfect for where it is. Is it overpriced? Sure. Everything down here is. It’s a convenience fee for saving you the hassle of driving into Gulf Shores.
I’ve had nothing but nice folks at the pizza shop serving me. They’ve never missed on the order being what we placed. I haven’t dealt with underdone pizza, massive bubbles or slow service. Not disputing that happens, but nothing we’ve ever dealt with.
Align your expectations. Be glad you’re not getting behind someone driving 40 mph in a 55 mph zone for 15 miles into Gulf Shores. Be grateful we have a pizza option close by. Enjoy your vacation and buy yourself a couple of pies.

Came to this place for food at 8:30 (knowingly late and self-conscious) and rudely got asked while we were looking at the menu if we were going to be ordering on 10/28. We left because we were obviously going to be inconveniencing the establishment based on the lady’s body language. Great location and would’ve wanted to eat somewhere closer to our rental but ended up eating at a different place on the strip.

If you like your pizza cooked “medium rare” this is the place for you. I should have known from looking at pictures but figured I’d try it anyway since the other pizza place in Ft. Morgan is notorious for over cooking. If they got together and compared notes I bet they could come up with a perfectly cooked pie.
Dough was very soft and still pale white on the bottom. I think they cook it *just* enough to melt the cheese and brown the edge. Flavor was decent but the crust consistency killed it for me.
