…Where ‘Cheers’ meets ‘Central Perk’… The Oak House is a chill place to grab a coffee or a beer or a nice glass of wine and hang out, socialize, work on a group project, have a casual meeting or continue a discussion from class. Launched in Fall 2014 by former Elon staff member Phil Smith & Elon alum Ryan Vet ‘13, The Oak House focuses on locally roasted coffee, craft beer, and fine wine in an inviting, relaxing atmosphere. No burgers, no wings, no freshly tossed salad…but enough pastries, appetizers & snacks to pair with your favorite Oak House beverage – or the staff will gladly provide plates and forks for you to enjoy take-out from one of our neighboring locally owned restaurants. Loved this coffee shop/bar/meeting place. They have a variety of spaces for coffee and a wine/beer bar all in one. The coffee tasted great and they showcase local food and talent. Highly recommend.

Expensive, trendy coffee shop. Definitely caters to the affluent college students. Love the art on the walls. Quality of the coffee didn’t justify the price, but it was OK coffee. Service is great, very clean shop with interesting art on the walls.

I visited this restaurant this morning to redeem a coupon and try out their coffee. This mornings drip coffee was the medium blend. I had a banana nut muffin as well. The coffee tasted very good. However, the muffin was crumbly, dry and didn’t have very much banana bread taste to it at all. The establishment was very clean and we were greeted kindly and served well. I would like to come back and try some other foods and coffee they have here. It was delightful to visit here.

Absolutely LOVE the Lattes here. Also, the Wine selection is pretty good too. My friend Andrew truly LOVES the Hot Chocolate here. Do yourself a favor & try the Hot Apple Cider when the weather is chilly. You won’t regret it!!! They need better snacks/food options, but other than that, I have absolutely no complaints

Great place for some quick food or drink, the hot chocolate is tasteful yet very affordable for a small cup. Atmosphere is nice and decorative with no loud music except on weekend nights. Very much an Elon treasure and a cool place to visit overall.

Their caramel macchiato is my absolute favorite anywhere. Not too sweet and just the right amount of caramel…unlike others where you can’t even taste the coffee anymore. Great for study sessions…but don’t park there because the library is better for that kind of stuff. Be considerate.

4th time I’ve come since July. I try to give places multiple chances as every day can bring new challenges to any business. Consistently poor service at the bar. Wasn’t busy I try to go at non rush times. Was flat out ignored after making eye contact with the bar tenders. Not sure if they’re just inexperienced, but it is disappointing that it seems to be a constant problem that patrons are ignored.
Otherwise great prices on drinks and great options available.

My husband and I popped into the Oak House for drinks and dinner. A lot of restaurants in the area were closed since we were out on a Sunday night, so we decided to give the Oak House a try. We enjoyed the nice and relaxed atmosphere, but unfortunately, the Oak House doesn’t have a substantial menu. That being said, we enjoyed our wine and meat and cheese plate.
