Reviews
The menu leans into classics like tacos (especially beef and fajita styles), quesadillas, nachos, and burritos, all seasoned boldly and served at very reasonable prices. Their beef tacos on corn tortillas and chicken quesadillas are local favorites, and everything feels satisfying without being overcomplicated.
What I personally enjoy about Taqueria Coco Loco is how unpretentious and welcoming it feels — it’s that kind of place where you can roll in for lunch, grab some flavorful tacos and chips with salsa, and feel genuinely satisfied. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, matching the food perfectly.
If you’re in the mood for authentic Mexican eats that hit the spot without a huge bill, this little taqueria makes for a fun and tasty stop
The taco plate at Taqueria Coco Loco was amazing! The tacos were full of flavor, tasted fresh and homemade, and the portions were great for the price. You can really tell the food is made with care. I’ll definitely be coming back for more tacos!
Located in an obscure shopping plaza, the high-pitched shrill to announce you’ve entered the restaurant is quickly forgiven when the food starts to arrive.
With only 3 booths to eat in, this place isn’t made to hold a lot of people, but with food this good I’m surprised there’s not a line out the door.
Everything is homemade, from the freshly made warm red & green salsa that they bring to your table, to the handmade corn & flour tortillas and Aqua Fresca.
This is as authentic as Mexican gets in the States, and definitely worth the short trip from New Orleans!
