Excellent customer service, family + farming atmosphere, fresh local ingredients and the pay by the pound concept are a few qualities that make The Salad Station – Midtown unique. We pride ourselves on the friendly, fun and fresh experience our guests have when visiting our stores. The “pay by the pound” concept is very different for many, but our guests love the fact that they are paying for exactly what they created. Every ingredient on their plate was placed with a purpose. First time visiting a salad station and it will be my last. I have never pd $32 for a regular size salad, small cup of soup, and a drink before and I never will again!!! They do have a big variety of salad ingredients but it comes back to a basic salad. Find a salad you like at a fast food restaurant and pay $7. I can’t get over the price here. They weigh it so you have no idea how expensive it is until you check out. We could have had a steak and salad for the exact same price.

Initially I was little disappointed when I walked in and saw that this is a giant self-serve salad bar, because I don’t want to make my own food when I go out to eat, lol. Also, as you walk down the bar, you find more ingredients that you didn’t know were there and then you just keep adding all of these random items to your bowl- like, ooh cilantro, ooh banana peppers, buffalo chicken, I want that too! When I looked down at the ‘Frankenstein’s monster’ that I had created, my initial thought was, ‘Dang, I wish I could dump this out and start over’. But, surprisingly, it actually tasted good, even though I had put so many random things in that bowl. And better yet, I felt great after I ate here, because it was light and healthy and it gave me lots of energy to get through my day. Now that I know what ingredients they have, I’ll be able to build a more cohesive salad the next time. Also, kudos to them for using compostable bowls. I wish more restaurants were environmentally aware like this one is!

My friend and I ordered loaded baked potatoes with our dinner order online for pick up. When we picked up our food, the workers handed us our orders and failed to inform us that they were out of baked potatoes, instead allowing us to walk back to our car with the impression we had a loaded potatoes in our bags. FORTUNATELY, we always check our food before driving away. We walked back into the store and told the associate who handed us our food before, and she casually informed us they had run out of potatoes earlier. We then proceeded to wait for approx. 15 min for the associate to try to contact her manager, as she did not know how to do a return or store credit. She was eventually able to call the other store nearby and they walked her thru it. I do want to acknowledge that the young lady who waited on us was very apologetic and nice. However, this experience was incredibly disappointing and would have gone much smoother if the store had contacted us immediately upon learning they did not have anymore potatoes so we could have avoided the wait and made other arrangements. Please train your employees better!

Always clean in this establishment. The fruits and vegetables are fresh and not wilted. I enjoy the different options here. They also offer soups and potatoes if you want more than a salad. I suggest looking at salad online to know what to make or else you throw random stuff in, haha. I like to do a fruity salad with strawberry, blueberry, pecans, and turkey. The staff are really nice. I recommend the chai tea around the holidays (not overly spicy tasting). Love this place!
