I remember this market from way back in 1978 when Lanny Beecham ran it. I was delivering bread on my first job. He was known for his service and great cuts of meat. I remember his black Porsche too. Great guy and glad to see it’s still open.

Their meat is outstanding. Their prime ribeye is both a sight and taste to behold. The marbling is beyond excellent and it cooks up to tender perfection on the grill. I usually have it cut thick so that I can get it medium rare and nicely seared, too. They’ll cut anything any way you want, and it’s always top quality. Their ground chuck is also a must-have. It’s not like most in that it doesn’t shrink into nothing when you cook it. The fact that they grind it right there in the store probably has a lot to do with it. Their sausage and/or Italian sausage are great, as well. I also get their chicken (breasts) and it always comes out great. They also have pork steaks that cook up like they ought to. I hadn’t had pork steaks that good since I was a child. It’s always worth the trip to go to Beecham’s.
