I found this cute little place by searching the map around USC/Keck hospital for a place to eat during my son’s surgery. It’s super busy at lunchtime and it took us a long time to place our order and get our food. Prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly, patient and helpful. There is no room to eat inside but the large patio out back was inviting and pleasant on a day when the weather was lovely. We tried the aguachiles, grilled shrimp and mahi tacos and a Baja style fried shrimp taco. The aguachiles were the star of the show. The tacos suffered from being served in cold tortillas and the fried shrimp lacked crispness. There were several local beers on tap; I enjoyed the Bad Hombre.

Cute small mariscos restaurant near LA General. We love eating there in our lunch time. Their prices are reasonable and provide friendly service. We ordered cocktail de camarón, some thought it was spicy. Tacos de camarón, fried shrimp taco and a mahi mahi taco. The tortillas seemed to be hand made but they got cold really quick…

My god, this place is like an oasis in the middle of a desert. Got the fried shrimp taco and the grilled mahi mahi – the value you get for the price you pay is out of this world. They also have some incredible sauces for you to enjoy. Definitely keeping this on my list of places to come back to. Very nice people that work here as well.

Delicious fried shrimp and battered fish tacos! Combination of salsas and sauces was on point. Be sure to eat the fried shrimp taco right away so it doesn’t get soggy! Generous portions of protein as well. Service was excellent. This location is walking distance from LA General Hospital and the USC Health Science Campus. Plenty of outdoor seating behind the restaurant. The ambiance is very clean and comfy overall. Highly recommend for a quick lunch! Parking may be limited in this pretty busy area but try your best to find metered parking if you can!

I love their shrimp tacos at $1.99 is too good of a deal for this quality! The aguahiles is fantastic too. The husband and wife team are the nicest and so glad they are walking distance for me! Another staple of one of the best neighborhoods in Los Angeles! The famous Correa’s market, I have to try their shrimp po boy next!

We found them at Smorgasburg and opted for a mango shrimp ceviche to try while waiting for our tacos at the booth next door. Oh my goodness, it was so refreshing and we really enjoyed the flavor. The mango and the sauce def gave it a good acidity. Not to mention, the shrimp was fresh too. I can’t help but notice that the prices they charged were slightly higher at Smorgasburg compared to their store, would love to try out in the store for more options.

Super awesome gourmet tacos located at this tiny eatery. I got the shrimp tacos with avocado and salsa on the side. Delicious! The patio setting was quaint and very peaceful for lunch time.
