Update: I have visited 2 more times and have been acknowledged within 5 seconds.
Original Review:
I have come to Holy Grounds Coffee once per week over the last 3 weeks.
1) Food — I got drip coffee each time which tastes fine.
2) Service — Each of the 3 times I visited, I stood at the counter for as little as 30 seconds and as long as 90 seconds without being acknowledged by either of the sisters that were working.
Each time I went and sat down for a while, then went back to the counter. The quickest I was acknowledged was 30 seconds. 2 of the 3 times, one of the sisters was sitting on a stool on their phone. I would expect to be acknowledged even if you can’t take my order right away versus being made to feel that I don’t exist.
3) Atmosphere is pretty cool.

Cute little coffee shop in Liberty. They make their own syrups, which were outstanding! Very limited food menu, but the avocado toast is really good and they have pastries from Rai’s, which are always so good! Would love to see the coffees served in “real” cups vs paper to add to the coffee shop experience.

Parking lot on north end, east entrance leads you to church and you take stairs down, west entrance takes you straight to the coffee shop. Lots of seating options, service was great. They let us test some beagles and checked in with us throughout our time. Latte was good.

PROs: Nice location in historic Liberty neighborhood. Parking lot is on the North end of the church. Or street parking. Plenty of indoor seats. Great place to host a small group or meet friends for coffee and a chat. Coffee was ok but the pastries were great. And Jake, the puppy, was a wonderful host.
CONs: Handicap access is steep and narrow sidewalk at the back of the church. The ambience of books was overwhelming and cluttered. Coffee was extremely hot, burnt my tongue.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Jesus walked in the door. He would have a blast here and also leave a 5 star review. The traditional organ and choir music is absolutely fire and this is my species appropriate environment. Jake is pretty hype too.

Such a great find! Went for the First Friday flight of 3 drinks. So tasty! DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK! It’s in a church basement and the proceeds go to support the church. Great atmosphere, food was delicious! So many options for drinks. Staff and service was exceptional, you won’t be sorry you came!

My Husband and I are staying at an Airbnb in Liberty, Missouri. The owners run a very cute and special coffee shop right down the road. We were treated to coffee this morning as a wedding gift! I also ordered the avocado toast. What a phenomenal experience! Make sure to stop in when you are passing through!

Such a cozy and cute coffee shop. There is a vast coffee selection and gluten free options. The baristas are very warm and welcoming. I’d highly recommend this place and there are tons of places to sit.
