Food was amazing, you’re brought a little plate with ceviche and tostadas while you wait for your main food. Service was also good, not sure why theres a lot of comments about bad service, my server checked on me periodically.

Best mexican seafood in Stl/Illinois area!! Make sure you try the Molcajete El Volcan! It’s delicious, as well as the shrimp & octopus cocktail, seafood pastas & ceviche. My husband & I go every Friday/Saturday for our date night & we always enjoy the food & karokee nights(friday). Anything you order off the menu will be delicious!! I guarantee!!

We were a table of 15 for a birthday. We ordered drinks, but the music was so painfully loud. We could not talk to each other. It was like being in a club. We asked them to turn it down but the would not so we paid for drinks and left. What a shame

The food was delicious, but the service was terrible. They didn’t even ask if we wanted more drinks or anything else. I came here a year ago, and it was great, but I wouldn’t recommend it this time. The music was so loud, it seemed like a bar, and it wasn’t a family-friendly place. There were a lot of delays. I don’t recommend it, there are better places.

Went on a Thursday night with friends who had been there 3 times in recent weeks and raved about it. Amazing seafood–free ceviche, and the shrimp empanadas, shrimp w Nayarit sauce and snapper with octopus were excellent. Server was friendly, fast and had good advice. Based on our experience this is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city, no idea why ratings aren’t better. The only downside is a great reason to go: they need more customers! I’ve heard many Hispanic restaurants are having trouble lately w. customers (incl legal residents) afraid to come out, so this is a good time to support them. But it’s a great space and a fun vibe.
