Excellent all the way around. The Cuban sandwich (Cubano) was one of the best I have ever tried. Also the fries here are amazing, so crispy and done right. I also really enjoyed the orange wheat beer which is a local beer made in the St. Petersburg area. The service was great and also the restaurant has a nice ambiance. Overall I am really happy that I decided to stop here and check it out!

I can’t believe I haven’t been to this place sooner. I was pleasantly surprised by the quaint atmosphere. Warm and inviting. Greeted immediately. The smoked chicken salad sandwich was great! Loved the fries and I’m not a fry girl. The macaroni and cheese was gourmet all the way. Four cheeses and melted to perfection. They had nice hh options that I’ll be returning for soon.

This was our second time trying District South and we had high hopes after not eating much the first time we went. This time we were ready to dig into Brunch and had looked at the menu before we went. Good thing we did because they handed us the dinner menu and didn’t have any of the brunch menu. The server even gave us recommendations from the brunch menu that we were unable to view unless online. Which again, is fine since we already looked.
We ordered the Okra Fries and the 6 count Mojo District Wings to start. The okra was bangin’ but the wings were just okay. The sauce was good but the wings were soft so more than likely not fried, like we prefer them. We also ordered the Rose Sangria which was really good and my wife ordered the Deacon which is a mezcal frozen drink. Also super good!
For our entrees, I ordered the French Redneck and my wife ordered the Po’Boy with blackened fish which was grouper (I believe). I thought my dish was delicious and pretty inventive. I would say it leaned a bit sweet so I would’ve liked a better balance but overall it was good. My wife did not enjoy her Po’Boy. It had far too much aioli on it and not enough flavor in the fish, especially for it to be blackened.
Overall, I would say we’d try it again. Service was awesome and down to earth and the vibes were great. We’ll just try something different next time.

Tampa has not disappointed! Hubby and I came upon this gem for brunch 11ish on a Saturday in January. Not too busy. Daniela, our server had great suggestions. I had the pastrami hash breakfast. Oh my gosh! Apparently it’s their most popular. I can see why. So full of flavor. The pickled onions give it a nice balance. The pastrami cubes were crispy on the outside, tender in the middle. My day drink “The Good Herb”, was refreshing with the pomegranate and rosemary. Hubby had The American. He said it was next level! Bacon was cooked to perfection. The whipped scrambled eggs were fluffy and moist. Even the jam served with the sourdough toast was fantastic. Josh, a member of the family owned business, came by and made sure everything was to our satisfaction.

Is it a late-night bite you need, but you crave no compromise? Go to DSKC. We had a helluva day; we were driving around – looking for a nice sit-down dinner, at 9:30-45pm on a Monday night. (Unnamed) Others told us we could order take-out… Elena said, “no worries, take your time, let me share the specials”. Bingo! Happy bellies and empty plates (Brussels, Meatloaf and Pork/Crab Fried Rice)

My friend and I wandered in during happy hour & I can guarantee this bar & kitchen has found its newest regular! Josh & Zoe gave us PHENOMENAL service! They were both so incredibly kind, attentive & knowledgeable about the food & drink menu. I ordered the croissant club & IT WAS DELICIOUS, one of the flakiest, most buttery croissants I have ever had! The fries were perfectly cooked & seasoned. So happy we made the choice to dine here & the service made it that much better! District South is a MUST VISIT in tampa!

It was a late lunch for us but the place was still packed at around 1:30 in the afternoon. We had Okra fries for an appetizer, Pei Mussels and a Smash burger with sweet potato fries. For drinks we had a margarita and a Summer Shandy. We tried the Basque flavored cheesecake for dessert.

This place was by far one of the best restaurants I have ever gone to! They have a great luxurious inside and amazing food. I had an amazing sandwich and fries however I think the atmosphere is what makes this place worth going to. It also can be considered a cheap date night restaurant! They have tiny candles on the center of each table illuminating the tables and a big screen tv (At the time I was there they had football on it.) And the bar looked really nice for those who might not want to stay too long and just have a drink.

I had such a wonderful brunch experience here this weekend! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. Service was attentive without being rushed. Josh, our bartender- offered great recommendations that turned out to be spot-on.
The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen really cares about quality and consistency. The brunch menu had a great variety of options, and everything we tried came out perfectly cooked and delicious.
The atmosphere was relaxed, bright, and perfect for a slow brunch with friends. It’s the kind of place where you want to linger over coffee and enjoy the vibe.
Overall, this spot delivered both amazing food and standout service. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends looking for a reliable, enjoyable brunch spot.
