The bartender young girl was very nasty not pleasant. Forget going out of there way to assist you. I was there on August 31st 2025. Waitress outside very slow would forget items and the tables were dirty. None of the condiments on the tables were filled all the girls working there just stood around talking to each other. Sitting by the pool created a nice atmosphere. Otherwise, the food was heavy and the waitress was highly passive aggressive. Made for a stressful start to our stay at the Gideon.

Went to the Victoria pool and it’s a lovely spot for a summer dunk and a bar and food is available. More of an adult pool although there were some kids.

Perhaps they’re in training, and hopefully it’s a work in progress. The prices were good, but the food and service was not so much. The pulled pork with coleslaw came with no coleslaw. The chicken sandwich was dry, and the sweet potato fries were burned. The onion rings were ok. The waitress was smiley and friendly, however after taking our order, she didn’t return to the table until she brought the bill. We were one of only 2 occupied tables, so not busy.

Waited 1.5hr for food, came out cold and sloppily made. Waiters were inattentive and did not check on us. Charged full price, manager unapologetic. Do not eat here

I’m not sure why they use strictly ciabatta bread on all of the sandwiched. It’s too much bread for some people & a BLT should be on toasted bread. At least give people the choice. I will bring my own sandwich until they give us a choice of bread.

Server picked paper menu off floor and ask if it was okay to give it to me. It took 20 minutes to even take order and 25 minutes to get salad and boneless wings. Wings were like little rocks and server never even checked to see if food was okay. We left sharing only the salad and still hungry. The outside porch was a nice environment and Caesar salad was tasty. We will not return.

Food was good, service poor. Ordered salad with shrimp and once delivered shrimp was missing. Also ordered sweet potato fries and received regular fries.
We were one on three customers and two waitresses on duty. Lack of attention to customer service made this an disappointing experience.
