Babette in Coral Gables: A Culinary Love Story Rooted in Legacy …
Reviews
The chef created the tasting menu and recommended wine pairings along the way and the wine was SPOT ON. They have relationships with smaller vineyards and so we got to try wine that you wouldn’t be able to find otherwise.
The food was impeccable. Every course came out on time and there were no bumps along the way. Every single guest was not only impressed, but left with their hearts and stomachs full. Thank you Babette for your passion and love for food and wine
Alejandro treated us like royalty. Everything perfect, from A to Z. We asked for a chewy red wine, he Recommended a rare vintage Valle de Guadalupe (Mexico) Monte Xanic Gran Ricardo…outstanding. Surprisingly reasonable mark-up ❤️
In fact, the whole experience was better than having our own chef catering. Merits 2-3 Michelin stars.
Not cheap, but worth every $$$
Chef Dani’s creativity shines through in every dish, not in a showy or forced way, but with a sense of effortless confidence and harmony. Each plate felt purposeful and balanced, with flavors that complemented one another beautifully. The food was nothing short of amazing—fresh, vibrant, and memorable.
My wife couldn’t have been happier with the experience, and neither could I. Babette is the kind of restaurant that makes a special night feel truly special. We’ll definitely be back.
The food unfortunately was disappointing. The focaccia lacked an airy texture. The tuna tartare was tasteless, the branzino was fishy, the gnocchi had an unnecessarily heavy sauce and was not well seasoned, while the entrecôte steak was well seasoned but served in very small portions. My apple mille feuille was overcooked. I did like the accompanying french fries as well as the beets. The wine list was excellent
Service was slow, the restaurant was sold out with our group of 24 but they had ample notice of our arrival.
Every dish was delicious and clearly made with care. You can really tell how much love goes into the cooking and presentation. It felt like dining in the chef’s home, but with restaurant-quality food!
A wonderful spot in Coral Gables. We will definitely be back.
