First time here. Service, like described by others, was wonderful! Not worth the cost close to $40, honestly not worth it. We got 2 fried chicken sandwiches, one a combo with a drink and fries costing $17, one just the sandwich for $10.50 they forgot the tomato on both) mac n cheese bites (each bite small and comes with 6 ‘bites’ per order $6.25) chicken is overly fried and really flat flavorless, the fries are the best part. This place is fine in a major pinch, but really could be better. We were really looking forward to it since we just moved to the area. Probably wont be back. Update: we finished everything and still hungry. Bummer. Unfortunately I hate to say it but getting Wendy’s would have been better.

We have been going to Comet Burger in Royal Oak for years. We loved the new owner and he told us he opened up a spot closer to us. We haven’t had the chance to stop by. Today was the day we got to finally stop by. They have seating outside and a drive thru. It is pretty cold out so we went through the drive-thru. It didn’t take a super long time to order our food. They had the same food as the other location. It is a cute little spot.
My husband ordered space cowboy burger and it is his favorite. I got a comet slider and it was delicious. The fries were good but to be honest I am going to admit they taste even better at the other location.
The service was amazing. The lady working told us that she loves the owner. Meat is brought in fresh every day. The fries are dropped fresh every time as well. We would love to come visit again soon.

Meh ! Let just get to it…..a burger a bun, cheese and fixin’s that cost $12 should be STELLAR. Add a fry and a 20oz drink @ $17 it should be unquestionably a 5 Star review.
Nope ! It’s basic and boring. Don’t get me wrong, it’s decent, but cost creates the context and for me I will find me a Big Buggord or a Butter burger with fries and a drink for $10, $11 bucks and get a better meal and a better value.
As for the service, my experience was great, but keep in mind I was the only one in line and ordered 2 burgers with fries and I waited 10 min. So just imagine if you pull up and the line is 3 to 4 cats back….not good.

The customer service was excellent, but I wish the food matched that level of quality. It’s definitely on the pricier side for fast food, with meals ranging from $15–$19. While everything was served hot, the taste and flavor didn’t quite live up to the cost. I could be wrong, but the burger patty seemed like it may have been frozen—it didn’t have that fresh, made-to-order feel. The fries were hot and crispy, though, so I just hope they can elevate the burgers a bit to match.

Edit: I want to recant my review below and let the people know Scott made everything right for me. I came back, he asked for more feedback, replaced my meal and we had a chance to talk. Being in hospitality it’s easy to get “lit up” but to make it right like he did is exactly how it’s done. Comet Burger had a choice and they didn’t miss anything because of him. The burger was a completely different experience so it deserves to be changed. While it didn’t “wow me” my daughter loved her sliders and I will be back because of Scott.
Unbelievable that this burger was $14? I wanted to give a try tonight.
I’ll add the gentleman who took care of was wonderful but this was probably the worst burger I’ve had. It had about 8 tablespoons of zip sauce and I threw it away after four bites…
I tried to support but go to Travis and get good food with a better price.

I have wanted to try this since I saw it being built. Happened to come across it wanting Checkers and forgetting they turned the Checkers into this. Food and service was great, but the prices are crazy and that’s why I lowered to 4 stars instead of 5. Almost $20 for one combo meal is insane! It would cost almost $80 if not more to feed my family of 4. That’s almost a whole days pay for me! Also with out the aesthetic and inside seating option as the Royal Oak location. St. Clair Shores is such a mix of blue and white collar that unfortunately, I think the pricing will be their down fall in this location. I paid it just to try it, but I think once the newness wears off they may not get much business. I would love to return and bring my family, but I can’t afford an $80 plus meal in this economy. I was worried I wouldn’t like the fries. They are okay, but lacking flavor. There wasn’t even any salt on them. I will have to try the garlic parm fries. This time I just ordered regular. My Yaya pita sandwich was great. The guy that took my order at the speaker and gave me my food was very polite and upbeat. The ranch for my pita was also good. (For ranch lovers. If you know…then you know all ranch isn’t the same lol). The portion of fries and size of the sandwich was good too. Drive thru was a little slow, but I didn’t mind waiting a few extra minutes as everything was fresh.

Opening day and I didn’t even know it! I just happened to drive past it and wanted a slider. Great staff and great food. Definitely holding up to their reputation of a good slider. I will be coming back with the family! I highly recommend coming here!

Just ordered 2 double cheese burgers minus pickles plus mustard & ketchup (I even asked them if they put mustard & ketchup on the burger and they said yes, got home and the burgers had no mustard or ketchup and the burger was so over cooked and cold and dry it was horrible. Its sad cause I live around the corner and use to go to the Royal Oak location many many times and it was always great there….cant actually believe they sold me these burgers that were over cocked!!

Little shocked at how expensive this place was. A Jupiter burger ( just a regular 1/3lb classic burger) was $9.50 for the burger alone…and then another $7 for a combo. Not sure a regular size drink and fries equate to $7. Needless to say I paid $17 for a classic cheeseburger combo. I can’t see myself returning when I can grab carryout burgers from places like Travis or Sabbys at a much cheaper cost.

I wanted to love this place considering the price. I ordered two large pineapple shakes through door dash and there was nary a pineapple in either. Pricey for softserve, just vanilla. Someone there should be able to read and for the staff to knowing pass it on, showes very little care. Dissapointing. Id like to say i got what I paid for, but not this time and sadly it as my first time ordering from this place. Not a decent first impression.
