This is one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to since visiting Italy with my wife. The quality of the food was amazing, authentic, and all around just good tasting.

We had the calamari (family favorite), beet salad, boar ravioli, mushroom pizza, margarita pizza, Prosciutto pizza (personal favorite). It was a lot food and itall tasted great. The pastas and pizza dough are freshly made and you can tell they use good quality ingredients .

The service was also amazing. It felt like we were eating at a close friend’s house. We went here with my family after my daughter’s Christmas recital and glad we did. They were warm, attentive, and they made sure we were taken cared of.

It’s a great location too, right in downtown Ballard next to Bergen Park. Perfect for people watching while eating, having an intimate dinner, or having a celebration with friends and family.

We’ll definitely be back and would definitely recommend if want either good food, good service, and good location.

They also have a nice front patio right in the heart of Ballard for great people watching.

I love this place! I’ve had a lot of pizza in my time, and this is the best flat pizza dough I’ve had the pleasure to enjoy. I had a delightful negroni and settled on the “Fabio”. I altered the pizza, subbing cheese for arugula, removed the meat/cheese, and I also added garlic. Delicious, and will be back for more! (Plant based)

It is by far the best pizzeria we have ever tried in Seattle. My wife is from the south of Italy (born and raised) and pizza is a big deal in our house. Strega is a top quality spot, with great food and an awesome service. We are lucky to live close by! Totally recommend. Siete bravi, ragazzi!

Such a homely inviting place 🙂 We had a lucifero and a panna cotta (creamy and delish). The spicy pepperoni kick and the char on the crust was just amazing. The pizza sauce is so tasty. Found out that these are the same guys as Vespucci in the farmers market. I just moved to Ballard two days ago and this was my inaugural outing, felt very welcoming and warm. The owner was a delight to speak to. I know I am going to be a regular here.

TLDR: where has this pizzeria been all my life!

Update: we came in a second time and ordered the Nicoletta, Marinara and Boscaiola this time, along with the panna cotta and chocolate budino for dessert – highly recommend the panna cotta, marinara and nicoletta. The chili oil is also fantastic.

We casually came in for lunch on a Friday, and oh boy, is this place amazing. First off, 50% of the pizzas being vegetarian is just amazing – and these aren’t your standard cheese pizza garbage, these are LEGITIMATE options.

We tried the Angela pizza and the gnocchi between the two of us. The pizza is everything a pizza should be (I staunchly stand behind Neapolitan being the king of pizza types) – the base/dough is perfect, the flavors are all there, the toppings are generous too. Honestly, this is one of the best pizzerias in town.

The gnocchi was pretty nice too, but I’ll definitely recommend choosing the pizza over the pastas here.

Had a wonderful experience at Strega! This is some of the best pizza you can get in Seattle. The crust is immaculate and the flavor combinations so delicious. The cocktails are also on point, and menu prices reasonable. Our server was so lovely! Will most def be back soon!

We ordered the Boscaiola pizza and found it a bit underwhelming. The flavor was quite bland, and the crust was extremely thin, which made the slices hard to hold and caused the toppings to slide off easily. That said, the service was excellent and the ambiance was lovely, both of which made the dining experience pleasant overall. With some improvements to the pizza, this place could be a real standout.

We originally discovered this pizza at the Queen Anne Farmers Market under the name Vespucci Pizza. Always a hit and always a long line of repeat customers. We were so happy to learn the owner had opened Strega Pizzeria in the heart of Ballard serving both pizza, pasta and salads.

When we first moved to Seattle, we were searching for a true Neapolitan Pizzeria like the one we loved back home (shout out to Via Tevere in Vancouver, BC). We gave up after eating too many soggy/burnt/crust-heavy pizzas with overly salty and poor ingredients. Strega is truly a neighborhood gem, and the owner is incredibly kind.

They also have a happy hour with half-sized pizzas and drink specials. We ordered from both menus and loved all the dishes. The owner also made our toddler a special cheese pizza to go. Just the kindest and friendliest service. Can’t wait for our next pizza night!

High quality ingredients. The sauce and crust were delicious. Pizza does get a bit soggy toward the middle so you need to eat it pretty quickly. Good service and nice atmosphere!

Strega is the real deal. I’m a former New Yorker and have been thoroughly unimpressed with Seattle’s pizza scene so I was thrilled to welcome this place to the neighborhood. The pizza is fantastic. The crust has great depth of flavor and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. The spritz I ordered was the best I have ever had. And the service was excellent. They were also incredibly accommodating to kids which is becoming increasingly rare in Seattle so it was much appreciated. Service was also great and the prices were reasonable. I will be a frequent customer.
