While I was waiting at the register, Daniela did not greet me or acknowledge me and appeared focused on something else until Derrick arrived. I placed my order, which included a meal with a root beer float, and asked if I could have the root beer on the side. Derrick said that was no problem. However, when I received my order, the root beer was already poured into the float.
I mentioned this to Derek, reminding him that I had asked for the root beer separately. He said he needed to check with Daniela for approval. When she was asked, she made a bigger issue of the request than was necessary. When I expressed concern that I might be charged for extra root beer, her response was unprofessional. She filled an extra cup with only about an inch of root beer and said that was all they could give me.
I have never experienced this at any other Chick-fil-A location. I order root beer on the side frequently, and it has always been handled without issue. This interaction felt disrespectful and unnecessarily difficult.
I value Chick-fil-A and have always enjoyed visiting with my family, but this experience has left me hesitant to continue doing so. Something needs to be addressed on this. After the encounter, I could hear them behind the register, chuckling and running their mouth like they were prior to me entering the restaurant. I guess those things are more important than a guest having a good experience at this location. Natalie Yung if you read this, I would love to hear some feedback from you! Thanks!
