On the bright side, the food was tasty—even though they were out of the pineapple bowl, they served the fixings and it still hit the spot. The view of the sunset was beautiful, and our waitress was kind and attentive, which definitely helped make up for the rocky start.
Overall, a good experience once we were seated, but a little more organization at the front could make it even better.
The food is excellent. I have never been disappointed here. Staff is friendly and works hard to keep guests happy. This marina has hot it together. Shower houses, house boat rental, pontoon rental, gift shop, gas, and fuel. Highly recommend
The Marina was one of the nicer ones we’ve been to in KY thus far. Beautiful view of the sunset.
The restaurant was very clean and had an amazing view of the sunset as well. It was also stunning from the top deck seating area.
The food was very good, not great. Nothing was wrong with the food, but it wasn’t a “Wow, let’s go eat (insert whatever here) again.” Big portions, and everything was fresh and hot.
The Marina deck was very well maintained with rocking chairs and nice benches to sit on. You could play cornhole and a few other games while taking in the views.
We didn’t rent a pontoon boat, but we definitely will be doing that next summer. They were very well maintained, and the prices for a daily rental were quite reasonable.
We didn’t go into the gift shop/convenience store, but from the outside, it was huge. If a full sit-down meal isn’t your thing, they had a snack bar you could order from, as well.
There are so many things I’ve not mentioned. I suggest everyone go there and experience this wonderful Marina for yourselves.
Unfortunately, our last visit (and I do mean last) crossed a line. My wife ordered a sweet tea with no lemon, and I asked for a diet coke. When the drinks arrived, her tea came with a large lemon wedge. She politely reminded the server of her request, who then returned with a new glass and slammed it onto the table with clear irritation.
That kind of behavior is unacceptable in any setting, let alone one where hospitality is supposed to matter. We don’t have time for temper tantrums, so we stood up and left.
