Such a lovely restaurant tucked away at the bottom of St James.
I have been here many times but the food seems to get better and better. The highlights for me today, the exceptional smoked eel, with pigs trotter croquette, followed by the veal chop special which tempted me away from my normal veal kidneys favourite !
Understated but very efficient service as always led by Richard and his team.
A great place to experience French food in London

Fantastic place to go! I went for my birthday, highly recommend the crepes, which the staff cook in front of you.

We hosted our Team Christmas party in the private room of Brasserie St Jacques and everything was exceptional. The room is beautifully elegant and perfect for groups of 20+. The food was outstanding — highly recommend the scallops, the venison, and the Crêpes Suzette à la Victor.
They also offer an excellent wine list, and the sommelier was incredibly helpful in guiding us to great pairings. Service was efficient, attentive and discreet throughout.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and a chic, elegant setting. Five stars — highly recommended!

I wanted to come here for a long time but never managed. Today I decided to go in my own and hoped to bag a table in the amazing little courtyard they have at the back. I booked, and, when I arrived, the courtyard was fully booked, but they promised to move me there once a table had finished. I ordered the scallops, and the cheese soufflé to start with. Before they arrived, they brought me fresh bread with a very good butter, together with my Perrier mineral water. To go with the starters I was given the great advise to pair them with a Riesling, a very good choice, as it was a perfect match with both. I then had the halibut, which was paired with a white burgundy, another perfect match. This main was also great, perfectly cooked and very well balanced . Lastly, I had the Crepes Suzette, a dessert I love, but it isn’t easily found in London ( or even in Paris ). The end was a Grand Marnier on the rocks. The prefect ending to a a perfect meal . The service was very good throughout the whole meal, plus they did manage to move me to a table outside as soon as it became free. Little great touches like this are so rare those days, therefore I am delighted to have finally discovered this gem of a place ! I highly recommend it.

Food was delicious, staff were very nice, serviced was VERY RUSHED. Starter, dinner and wine in under an hour. By 25 minutes in we had our wine, starter and finished our entree. We tried to kindly push back but they were politely determined to turn the table.
Would definitely eat there again and be prepared to slow the entire process down.

A great experience meant to be shared with friends, the food was very nice with a lot of options for people with different preferences. The private dining area made it very easy to host a larger group. Would recommend going again when in town.

Very nice hostess and host. Wish I could say as much for the food. We ordered the fish pie and the endive tart. Both were inedible, the fish was old and rubbery, the endive was not savory but sweet. It simply made no sense. Plus it took over an hour to bring out the entrees. The scallop appetizer was at least edible. The spinach side was the best thing that came out of that kitchen. The atmosphere is sterile and more like a NYC diner than a fine French restaurant. We were really looking forward to dining here after all the 5 star reviews. Sad to say it was one of the worst meals we’ve ever experienced. Maybe it was just an off night. I hope so.

We went to this place for a 30th birthday party and it was exceptional! The staff were wonderfully helpful and despite there being around 20 people the food was an excellent quality! We had a cheese soufflé with cauliflower veloute, and flank steak which was tender and well seasoned with chips, the sauce was delightful! I have only deducted a point as the drinks were very expensive with 1 espresso martini costing £17.25, which seemed a little excessive although based on its location likely reflects the rate of the area.

Fantastic food. Impeccable service, very nice staff. Beautiful interior.
That said, restaurant was nearly dead for the 2.5 hours we were there, with no ambient music. Made things a little weird.
