Great experience at La dolce vita italian restaurant, who would have thought that you can get good italian food in belize. The chef was amazing. This is authentic. Italian food, the chef is actually from Rome. Victor was the person that served us snd he was on fire.He had to take care of the entire restaurant by himself.He never rested for a second. For an appetizer we had the Prosciutto on a crustini, it was fantastic. My wife had the penne with vodka sauce and shrimp, which was amazing. They have a very good selection of wines and meats as well. The owner has a shop next door where he sells the wine directly imported from italy and other places at reasonable prices.

Simply delicious! Don’t miss this place when you are in Placencia. It was one of the the best pasta dishes in a very long time. Fresh, well seasoned and a lot of food! We hade chicken Parmesan, My 4 formagio , shrimp broccoli, more Monti. The Negroni was also outstanding. I can’t even imagine, how hard it must be to get the ingredients.

Legit scratch Italian food crafted by chef Simone. Victor was our waiter and he is very attentive. I highly recommend this spot for good Italian food. I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere due to the tile floors and hard ceiling making it kind of noisy in there. If the 4 top and 6 top tables have people it is a little noisy but the food and service more than make up for that. After our dinner the chef stopped by our table and we talked to him for 5 minutes or so. Learned how he came to stay in Belize and open this restaurant.

An exceptional dining experience. Italian dishes on par with any of our trips to Italy. The classic carbonara is a great way to measure a restaurant and this did not disappoint. Plenty of pepper, crispy, fatty cured pork, and rich sauce. Don’t visit Placencia without dinner here.

The “fileto” was the best fish I have EVER had in my 30 yrs as a pescatarian. The fish (spear caught hog fish) was delicious on its own, but the reduction and remoulade of fresh tomato on top was just extraordinary. Everyone in the restaurant ewed and ahhed over their dishes. Most people were regulars. My husband said his Fruit de Mar was just as he has had in Italy. And for the quality, it was a fantastic value. There were $$ in Google, but honestly this place was not more expensive than other places we’ve eaten here in Placencia. Highly recommend. No desserts, but they did have Grappa!

Nice little Italian spot with an excellent chef who takes the time to stop by every table to see if all is good and it is. The pasta dishes are excellent and the bread is even better. Definitely worth a visit or two.
