A wonderfully pleasant surprise inside Suburban Station. We pass through Suburban often and happened to be cutting through on a very cold day, saw a sign on the concourse and decided to get a warm bowl of ramen to warm up. I have been to my share of ramen restaurants and quality of this place blew me away. We had the tonkotsu ramen with chicken katsu (because kids) and it was loaded with all kind of delicious toppings and noodles in a rich creamy broth. We ended up trying the scallion pancakes, cheese chips (kind of a vegan crab rangoon) and some kind of dessert bao – my kid was sure it’s red bean paste, but it sure tasted better than the red bean paste bun of my youth. Everything was delicious! The service was fast and friendly. My son enjoyed the mural inside and the ninja theme too and asked to come back often. A wonderful experience all around!

Super yummy food! I’ve tried the ramen, scallion pancakes, bao buns, and wonton soup. Service is quick with food served hot and fresh. The last 2 times, staff threw in freebies which was super nice. Maybe because they are rebranding and want to promote lol but I’ll def keep up with their new restaurant! Hopefully they will do amazing if they choose to move to a different location <3 Sadly I am moving away from their current spot under the concourse but I'll make an effort to revisit, just for those delishus baos ...

Just had an amazing meal at Ninja Bao! The pan-fried buns (Sheng Jian Bao) and ramen were seriously delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I was also pleasantly surprised when they randomly gave us scallion pancakes for free, such a nice touch!

The chef clearly knows what he’s doing, everything was fresh and made with care. Also, the person at the front was super patient and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back again! My favorite restaurant!♥️

Come to Ninja Bao!

I was waiting for a train and needed something to settle my stomach, I had the Tonkatsu ramen to my surprise was reasonably priced for 14$ had a soda and the staff/owners just kept giving me free complimentary food!

They gave me a cheesesteak Bao Bun and Scallion pancake!

This little gem reminds me of a small ramen shop salarymen would frequent after a hard day of work in Japan before the last train back home.

It’s a must visit and a staple shop in the suburban station and deserves praise!

I’ve eaten here twice now which is a great find since the pizza place closed. Staff is very polite and very fast. 5-10 min wait time for a standard to large order. Great food! Om not a dumpling guy but the food is awesome. I had the chicken gyoza, scallion pancakes and the red chili wonton bowl twice now. Great lunch option that’s not too heavy on unhealthy additives or ingredient levels. I’ve yet to try their bao(I do love bao),but that is coming soon.

I don’t normally bother writing restaurant reviews, but I have to share my experience with Ninja Bao. I’ve been wanting to visit this place since I moved back to Jersey over a year ago and I finally got the chance yesterday while cat sitting for my mom and I was NOT disappointed!!

I already knew trying to find the place might be difficult from other reviews and I don’t ride the train much so I was super nervous about the trip, but once I got into Suburban Station the guards helped direct me and I found it no problem!

The restaurant was clean and surprisingly quiet! There were so many things I wanted to try and share with my boyfriend that I definitely ended up splurging a bit, but it was so worth it!

Everything we tried was absolute ! Even reheated once I got home later that night, though I’m definitely looking forward to bringing family and friends back so we can eat it hot and fresh!

The service was excellent and the staff very sweet, allowing me to sub out a different drink with the meal I purchased. If you get the chance to stop by this little dive, do not hesitate!! This place is an absolute gem!

First, here’s how you get to Ninja Bao. Take the Septa escalator located on the corner of 15th and Market. It’s on 15th about 100ft north of Market. Follow the sign towards the Septa sales office and go past the post office and Ninja Bao is on the right. It’s outside the turnstiles so you don’t have to pay or anything coming in off the street. Second, order some Bao buns and the scallion pancake beef wrap. They are amazing. I always thought someone should make an Asian style burrito and Ninja did it and better yet used a scallion pancake instead of a flavorless flour tortilla. The people were extremely friendly and the place was very clean. Don’t be bothered by having lunch underground, it’s a must stop!

Y’all y’all y’all y’all. If you’re not getting the dumplings you’re doing it wrong. These are my new favorite dumplings. I have been twice now.

I picked up a fun box for my coworker and I. It is a quite a bit of food but for a great price. Every single dumpling is excellent. There is not a bad choice. Chicken, pork, veggie, or dessert. They are all amazing.

I’m glad they opened the restaurant because it looked really nice inside and looked like a fun place to be. The line was out the door and I couldn’t be happier about that. Next time I’ll take the time to sit down, but grab some dumplings for lunch or dinner. You’ll be really glad you did.

I had Ninja Bao bookmarked on Instagram for a while, and I was so excited to finally try it today. I ordered the gyoza sampler box, and it was just as delicious as I’d hoped. The service was great, and the restaurant itself was cute, quaint, and very clean.

I was pleasantly surprised with a free scallion pancake—it was crispy and delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and my favorite gyoza in the sampler was the crispy chicken. The texture was spot on, with the perfect amount of filling inside.

I’m already looking forward to coming back to try the bao next!

WOW.

Such amazing food and service. Best shen jian bao in the city. Top notch buns with legit filling at good prices too. This place should be packed constantly – gotta walk through the maze of the station to get there but WORTH IT
