I got dinner for my friends and they were on the fence ordering from Golden Krust because of some of the low reviews . But I guess I caught them on a good day because food was hot, fresh and plentiful! One of them said food tasted like a home cooked meal and they are both from the Islands. They got brown stewed chicken with rice and peas and plantain. My veggie patty was scrumptious and plantain cooked the right way. Customer service was very sweet and gave generous portions. Kudos Golden Krust that’s how you do it!

I came by at 1 for lunch and got disappointed at this store, not the 1st time I was I gotten disappointed here. I had this same meal at a different store on Coconut Creek Parkway and it looked and tasted nothing like this. The salmon taste is non-existent, and I can only taste the sweet chili sauce.
I tried to get a side of saltfish n butter beans that was sitting since this morning. Not for no 7.99, it can stay the rest of the day!
At thispoint I’ll just avoid this store and got to the stores I that keep up the quality of the food, and has a better parking.

Only good thing I can say is that the place was clean! So I usually go to the Coconut Creek Location (I believe different franchise owners) but they are closed on Sundays so we Drove 25/30 minutes to this location.

Firstly every business has the right to make their own rules in a restaurant but when I requested to get 3 boiled dumplings and 1 Fried Dumpling with yesterdays brown stew chicken I was denied. The Young lady said I would have to pay extra for the fried dumpling. I even tried to say if I go down to 3 pieces of food Instead of 4 can that be accommodated and that was a NO. Decided to do Rice with the chicken instead but Veggies weren’t ready so I Cancelled the Order because how bad does customer service have to be that you can say you are going to serve me a half plate but can’t give me the consideration with the dumplings.

Then my partner got the curry chicken which was not cut up just big leg piece and was severely under cooked. He didn’t take pictures because he tried to calmly tell them just to replace and the chef came out arguing with him that it’s cooked even though it was clearly bloody. (I would have taken a picture 100000%) but the audacity to argue instead of replacing it is crazy. Plus everything looked undercooked like no color to it. Hope management sees this to make some adjustments on customer service and food quality. We ended up just getting patties

When they just opened up they were amazing but now things are not looking so good. Food quality is very poor. Yams with worm being cooked and serve to the public is not acceptable at all.

Ordered breakfast today (08/18/25) via Uber eats twice. My family and I don’t like yams. I didn’t specify the first time. The 2nd time I personally called the restaurant and asked that I receive NO yams in any of the orders. I was assured that I would not. I was soo happy and looking forward to enjoying breakfast. I have no words for my disappointment when I received the order. Look at all that yam in the photos. Two orders were for callaloo & salfish. As you can see these is no salt fish in those. Do better guys.

The food was disgusting chicken was dry as hell not even worth calling barbecue fried just HARD CHICKEN. The rice had no flavor and the cabbage tasted like tap water. It was so gross I’m disappointed. The spice round bun was even no good. I wish I could return I just had to throw the whole plate away and it cost 15.99 so never again

Went here on lunch break and got the lunch special with the rice and peas and omg. Rice was super spicy. I done tried other Caribbean restaurants and their rice and peas are NOT spicy at all. Hopefully they can turn down the spice a little more. Or make a non spicy rice and peas. And there is no customer service at all with some of the employees.when you ask for extra gravy they look at you like you just cursed them out. I hope things get better. I’m very big on customer service. Nothing wrong with welcome, have a nice day, even a smile.

Good food! Poor service :/ I had a good start to my day and decided to treat myself to Golden Krust since I just started a new job and was pleasantly surprised to find one right down the street from my workplace! I usually go to local Jamaican spots, but I thought I’d give this one a try.
When I walked in, a lady with pretty colored contacts asked what I wanted to order. I told her I’d like the lunch deal, but she didn’t provide any options. Unsure of what was available, I eventually said “whatever,” since no clarification was given. I then mentioned I wanted to add a drink, and when I asked about the drink options, she seemed visibly annoyed, walked away, and came back to quickly list them.
As someone simply trying to understand the menu, I found the interaction dismissive and uncomfortable. I made sure to let her know that I didn’t appreciate the service. Unfortunately, due to the poor customer experience, I won’t be returning. Food was amazing though! Hopefully she comes back the next day with helpful hands not just hands to do the job.

Had a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the visit even more enjoyable. Parking was free and easy to find, which was a huge plus. The location was clean and well maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Customer service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Overall a smooth and pleasant experience, I’d definitely recommend it!

I’ve been going to the Dutch Pot from small and I’ve never experienced this rudeness plus there the meat is always way more soft.
It’s sad… I’ve tried many, many times through the weeks and months and most of the ladies here are fare to me but some are giving huge discomfort -Understatement –
I’m ashamed of this but it’s true even in our world today no matter what something somewhere is many issues HOWEVER race shouldn’t be another problem in our lives when we go for food that we CRAVE and LOVE.
This here is facts and oh well you run business this way you don’t need my money or sale any longer

I spoke with the manager that day and he told me I was crazy and making things up in my own head, he didn’t even care as right in front of me the staff was talking saying “the white girl came back haha” after she gave me bones yes, I still tried food again!
