Service is also immaculate. Victor gave us the best welcome ever and his solid vibes overwrote our indecision on where to eat in town. Gave us great recommendations and even tips for the in-house arcade. Speaking of, the arcade is super affordable and boasts a great selection. The movie posters also slapped.
This place really made our evening in Arroyo Grande special
I’m typically keto so there’s no way I could come here unless I cheat, but oh my gosh… this place is worth the cheat!
Great place for kids, also! They have mini corn dogs, grilled cheese, chicken strips, and plain ol’ fries for the kids, too. Jessica said they have an arcade coming soon, so stay tuned for that as well.
We highly recommend this place if you like loaded fries!
Service is hit or miss, looks like they are still trying to figure out staffing and training. The first visit, service wasn’t great, it took about 30 minutes to get my food with about 8 people inside, so not really that busy. Also had an odd experience with the cashier. Being a new place and various things on the menu, I asked her how the ordering worked. Her answer back was “you tell me what you want and I put in your order.” Caught me off guard, especially a new place that people are just learning about. Cashier the second time around was a bit better, though he was new and learning the system. He did a great job greeting and asking all the questions. Food was out faster this time around. Service was much better the second time around.
For fries and options on fries, it is a good place to go. People ordering various fries and toppings looked like they enjoyed the . I may be back to try some of their other fry options. For the burger, not so much. I would prefer other places to get a burger.
When I walked in Samantha at the counter was smiling and friendly. She was patient and offered help if I had any questions. I ordered sweet potato fries with sweet pork and grilled onions.
The order came out pretty quick and was handed to me by a friendly young guy from the back. Took the food home and it’s pretty good!
Will be back next time I’m craving french fries with all the fixings!
Update august 2023: this place is now an awesome hangout spot. They’ve got some cool old arcade games and an air hockey table. Perfect little outing for my 5 year old and me. Just enough for both us to enjoy ourselves!
I also tried the burger, and it’s pretty decent! Stoked to have this place in the neighborhood!
Burger was average, had a toasted sesame bun, a hint of smoky grill on the beef, generous condiments, and toppings. It was cooked to about medium with a little pink showing.
The corn dog bites were cooked perfectly . Had to ask for mustard, which I think should be automatically included. Also, they had the oddest underlying flavor. I can’t identify it, but it’s somewhere between dish soap and some kind of metallic taste.
The fries were probably great before they were ruined by too much salt and the worst tasting garlic! Also, if your business name is French Fries, you need to offer premium ketchup, not indifferent generic ketchup.
Price seems reasonable. Three items for $20. Easily enough for two people. Parking can be tricky at busy times. The are located in the old frozen yogurt shop and share a parking lot with Jersey Mike’s, and Little Caesars.
I’ll have to go back and order different items, maybe my score will change. Not a place I would drag a friend to, but they are definitely better than drive-thru.
The young woman at the front counter was superb! Excellent customer service skills. This great news because I was anticipating the opposite: surly teenage boys.
