Wife just brought me home a takeout order after she dined in. We live literally a minute down the street so the food should have been hot and fresh. 1 Whiskey Burger and a side of Mac N Cheese. The Mac & No Cheese was a small takeout bowl only half full. 1 single scoop of plain elbow noodles with minimal bland cheese sauce. Completely uncoated noodles even after stiring. It was thrown out. Not even close to being worth a $1 yet alone the $4 that was paid. The Burger was ordered medium well and cooked well done with the coldest most floppy bacon I’ve ever seen come out of a restaurant kitchen. Picked it apart for a bit then threw the rest away. Clearly a complete lack of care and effort from the kitchen, which is pretty shocking seeing as the place was apparently empty while my wife dined in before coming home. What could possible be going on back there when its an empty restaurant on a non packer Sunday afternoon? Enjoy your Donation Mr. Brews.

Great place to eat! Wish there were more places like this around. Service was very fast. I liked how they had both high and low top tables for those who are unable to sit at high tables. Great beer selection. Food was well made fast and tasted great!

The kids decided to take mom and I to Mr. Brew’s Taphouse in Darboy (visited August 2023). It’s only about a mile from our home. It’s a newer pub/restaurant in the area and we were interested to try it out. First impressions…a very nice place with more than adequate indoor and outdoor seating. The waitstaff (Max waited on us) was friendly and personable. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, house specialties and pizza, not to mention the vast assortment of beers.

We ordered an appetizer as we were waiting for more family to join us. We ordered food after they came. While waiting for our food, we noticed that there were a couple of tables near us that had been seated after we had arrived and already had their food. We mentioned it to Max, who let us know that our food should be coming shortly.

We ended up waiting over an hour from the time we ordered our food. Being it was my birthday, I was not in much of a hurry, but again, seeing the other tables served first made me want to say something here.

The meals came and were plated nicely. Everyone commented on how good their meal was. I had the fish tacos with their homestyle chips…very tasty! Others had burgers, a burger bowl and my wife had the wings. Our granddaughter had Mac ‘n Cheese…her all-time favorite!

Perhaps our order may have been misplaced, or…a bad night in the kitchen. It can happen. We let Max know about our long wait. I think he knew also that we were not pleased with the wait. But, we told him that this place is worth another try as the food and waitstaff service were great!

I did do a little research with the reviews and others noted similar issues. I’m not going to call this one visit a bust yet. We’ll be back Max! Hopefully without the long wait.

Got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich the sauce was just dropped on top Then the ranch on Top of that half the sauce ended up on my plate. Also ordered fries with Cajun seasoning, the fries were under cooked and the seasoning was just dropped on op and ended up on 4 unedible fries and none on the rest. Husband orders season fries as well and same story. His chicken tenders were rubbery and the consistency of cheap chicken nuggets

The fish tacos were perfect! Some of the best I’ve had. I love it when a bartender can recommend a good beer to go with your meal. Spot on! Thank you, Tamara.
I would have given “atmosphere” a perfect 5 if not for the creepy old guy giving the poor bartender a hard time.

My family and I used to visit weekly. Service is usually really great, but then I realized, we usually go when it’s not busy. The last couple of times we went during the dinner rush. They have a policy up front that you’re supposed to seat yourself which works well when they’re not busy. When they are busy though, they should probably switch to having a Hostess because sometimes it can take up to 10-15 minutes for anybody to notice that you seat yourself. With two kids this time can feel like an eternity. The company as a whole across all locations also has a bad habit of charging absolutely insane prices for barrel-aged beer. For example, recently Goose Island Bourbon County released their yearly stouts. The base sout can be purchased locally in 10oz 4 packs for $23.99 but if you want to drink it on draft at any Mr Brews Taphouse (including this one), it’s $19 for a 10 oz pour. For this Appleton location, I also question, why have a jukebox that can play metal or hard rock when these genres seem volume limited? I’ve had to have you refund me because I could barely hear the songs I paid for. Every other genre is clearly audible. All these things combine make us not want to go there anymore.

Chloe was our waitress this afternoon and was so sweet. Very personable. Went out of her way to keep bringing me a soda that wasn’t flat to get to the bottom of it tasting the way they were. There were so many tasty sounding burgers on the menu that it was hard to choose just one! Kids eating free on Sunday was also a perk!
We ordered the pretzel to start out. The beer cheese and pretzels were delicious. My son and I ordered a brews-chetta burger with house made chips. Loved that we were able to get them seasoned the way we wanted! My husband got the fish tacos and those too were fabulous! First time ever eating here since you opened and will definitely be back!

02/08/24 – Great new location. Pretty much a burger only joint. Issue is they only cook to Medium Well minimum, losing flavor. Add to it, they don’t state the burger weight in the menu.

Tonight was the second time we tried to attend a beer tasting and both times it was advertised to start at 6pm. Both nights the beer tasting didnt start until closer to 6:50.

Food was great, service was fine, but we won’t be trying to attend events here anymore as they always seem to be late and unorganized.

*New location*, This Mr. brews location is awesome. Great atmosphere, great staff. Outdoor patio is large with plenty of seating. They have a garage door that meets the patio to the main dinning room/bar.

If you cannot find a beer you like here you don’t like beer. They also serve wine and mix drinks.
