I wouldn’t come here again. I ordered a pastrami reuben. It was tasty but the pastrami slices were thicker than I would like. My main gripe is that it’s not that much sandwich for the amount of money you pay for it, $17, which is really disappointing. I’m still hungry. I am going to stick to Herschel’s in Reading Terminal market for my sandwiches. They are really big there, and super tasty, and you get what you pay for.

My family members ordered the corned beef special, which they enjoyed. I had the fresh steamed pastrami. The flavor was good, did not compare to the photos. Majority of the pieces were cut a little too thick and tough.

I’m so glad there’s now a genuine, dedicated Jewish deli in Chestnut Hill near West Mt. Airy! The owner meets you with a warm greeting, and the food is “the emes”: the real thing. I ordered the Pastrami Reuben and the Fresh Roasted Turkey sandwich, plus the latkas (YUMM!). All were SUPERB in quality, AND in abundance/volume. And very fresh! The delivery arrived swiftly.
Five stars, plus a request:
If possible, next time I would love the option of getting very THINLY sliced pastrami. It came VERY *thick*-sliced. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! (We all have our preferences…)

The two men working there were really nice and welcoming and had excellent service, even writing a nice note on my sandwich bag and personable getting to know me. I will definitely be back. The food was great too only thing is I wanted it to be a hot sandwich – they were about to close – but they helped me find something else that would not disappoint! (It was my first time trying corned beef).

ordered a pastrami reuben and corned beef reuben and they were both great! but the pastrami was amazing, and will definitely be my order moving forward. couldn’t resist a slice of chocolate babka, too, and have no regrets. service was great and the person behind the bar was very patient in explaining how i could preorder their bagels in the future. pickup from my online order was very easy!

I like it and I’m glad we have a business that opens at 9 for breakfast at the Fareway. I’m still talking about that chocolate babka!! The pork roll, egg, and cheese on a fresh bagel goes perfectly with Poppy’s coffee right next door. If their success keeps up, they’re going to need a bigger stand. First impressions are everything, but to harshly criticize on opening weekend when crowds swelled beyond expectation, that’s just a little unfair. I waited patiently for my breakfast and it was worth it.

Bagel sandwich was good, but was supposed to have capers which were missing, and I ordered it on an everything bagel and received a plain bagel.
