My family was treated to Manchester’s newest restaurant during their opening night and were not disappointed. Reservations can easily be made by calling or through the Yelp app connected to their website. We were warmly greeted by Debbie and took the opportunity to check out the bar before being seated. The bar manager Adam welcome us and made sure that our cocktails were made to order, using fresh ingredients. At the table Zach and Alex provided suggestions and delivered our food from the kitchen. The small plates were excellently prepared and amazed our taste buds. Dessert was also amazing. We can’t wait to go back again for more great conversations and delicious food.

Sat outside with new COVID measures and had a great experience. Staff was attentive and friendly. Oysters were tasty and octopus was great! Fish tacos had a bit too much breading. Overall, great service and food, and felt comfortable with the distancing and masks worn by staff. Will be back for sure!

September 2022: Social house has a large outdoor dining area. The downside of the outdoor dining here in late September is that the patio has several fire pits that are very smokey. The ash landed in the food and my eyes were burning. They looked pretty, but did not generate much heat. I did not like breathing it, and what the smoke was doing to my eyes.
I liked the crispy half duck and flour-less chocolate cake. However, the appetizer of lobster rilette was disappointing. It was a mix of shredded lobster and shredded celery, onions, tomatoes. It did not have much lobster flavor. Overall, it was not what I expected.
The service was nice and attentive.
The overall rating is a weak 4 stars.

One of the best dining experiences ever … PERIOD!!! By any standard, by any location in the world, by any expectations.
The food Executive Chef Jose Valines displays is simply phenomenal. The passion, the flavors, the techniques… you would think you landed at a Michelin starred restaurant in New York City, or Miami, or Tokyo, you name it, not in the small town of Manchester, Vermont.
The service, the food, the ambiance are memorable.
Thank you Social House for this beautiful dinner.

Pricing is on par with other restaurants in the area, but the the quality of food and service is superior. My wife and I started with a couple of drinks at the bar. I had the SOHO Heat. The SOHO infuses tequila with Jalapeño in house, and mixes it with pineapple and lime juice. The drink is both sweet and tangy with just a touch of heat. Delicious… one of the best drinks I have had in a while. My wife had the Drunkachino, whichn is like ordereing a spiked Frappuccino. My wife loved it. After drinks we moved to the dinning room. We started with the Provolenta or roasted provolone with garlic and seasoning served with sourdough bread. For my main course I had the Pan Seared Duck Breast with mashed sweet potato and green beans. My wife was torn between the pork chop and the 14oz New York Strip. She wanted the steak but preferred the sides that accompanied the pork. The waitress said that they would be happy to provide the steak with the arugula, fig and pear salad and the sweet potato fritters that came with the pork. So she ordered the steak. The entrees were 5 stars. Temperature, flavor, and tenderness of the meats were perfect. I highly recommend eating at the Social House.

We had such a lovely dinner with 9 people here on Friday night! The service was amazing and the food and drinks were fantastic. Definitely get the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Everyone loved their meal! Highly recommend!!!

We both had the lobster rillette and the half duck. I didn’t like the lobster dish, I couldn’t taste any lobster in it although it looked like it had lobster. The duck was a half duck which I prefer to the now common practice of just serving a duck breast. It was crispy but a little dry. There was supposed to be a bing cherry glaze but it was minimal.
They have a nice outdoor space which is why we came here, it’s COVID safe.

Had an amazing New Years Eve dinner here with my husband. They practiced all COVID guidelines. The food was fantastic. The food was prepared perfectly and best part everything is LOCALLY SOURCED! Our waiter was knowledgeable and super friendly. There were couples and families there. No very little kids, but there are some nice booth seating areas where there were kids! Would definitely return!

Stopped in for dinner after a quick day ski trip to Killington from NJ. Everything was wonderful, from the cocktails and drinks to the starters and main courses. The highlight of our meal would have to be the grilled octopus. We decided that it was the best we had ever had…perfect texture and flavor. The coconut sweet potatoe ravioli were also fantastic. Would definitely recommend and return on future trips to Vermont.
