I had the absolute pleasure of visiting WOW 601 Drive Thru for the first time, and I’m still smiling from the experience! From the moment I pulled up, the owner Oran, made me feel genuinely welcomed. He works there with his wife. His kindness and warmth was so refreshing, and it was clear he truly cares about the customers.
The owner took his time to walk me through the menu, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. I ended up ordering two burgers and a salad bowl—and let me just say, WOW is the perfect name for this place! Everything was made fresh to order, piping hot, and bursting with flavor. The burgers were juicy and perfectly cooked, and the salad bowl was vibrant and full of fresh ingredients.
I also tried the flan and sugarcane lemonade, both of which were absolutely delicious. And the sauces— I got to sample all the homemade specialty sauces, and it was honestly hard to pick a favorite. If I had to choose, the WOW sauce and pineapple sauce were top-tier.
The highlight of the visit? The owner himself brought the food to my car with the biggest, most genuine smile. You can tell he takes incredible pride in what he does, and rightfully so.
I 10/10 recommend WOW 601 Drive Thru—amazing food, kind-hearted owners, and very reasonable prices. Do yourself a favor and stop by. It truly made my day!

We finally stopped by and BOY OH BOY I AM GLAD WE DID. Folks if you haven’t stopped by this place and discovered the diamond in the rough of Salisbury, you have no idea what you’re missing. Now the prices are fair the service was great the conversation was even better with both the owners husband and wife . Stop by and try them out and if you love it like we did please be sure to leave a great review .

WOW! As locals we have been waiting patiently for this business to open and it was worth the wait. A good mix of American and Hispanic foods. The food was very good and cooked to order but fast! Bacon on the burgers was crispy and not chewy like so many places!
More than anything the owners were some of the nicest people we have met! This will be mine and my wife’s Friday lunch regular now!

Got the Maicitos! Great intro for Venezuelan food, already planning for the next time we come back visit. The owner is so nice and welcoming. Food was delicious. Our favorite was the sweet, creamy leche flan! better than my Filipino Grandmas version!

This is by far the best meal I’ve had in such a long time! We have been eyeing it for weeks passing by 601, and decided to pull in today and try it out. We got the pork and shredded beef Cachapa and wow!! Such good flavor and the service was fast. Will definitely be coming back

Genuinely life-changing. I live about an hour away from here and grabbed it on a drive home and it was probably more emotional and significant of an experience then whatever else I was out there to do.
I’m angry both at my own vegetarianism for preventing me from eating more of the menu and my own distance from it so i can’t justify going every day.

* * This is an Update to my original review. The food is extraordinary…. had the shredded beef bowl today! I didn’t realize until the second visit today….how absolutely every morsel has a great surprise – unbelievable taste!

When you find a pearl in an oyster you’re not surprised. That’s what they do! When you come across a “perfect little gem” of an eatery on a Highway – kinda in the middle of a country road – that’s not just a surprise it’s a treasure.
WOW 601 (named for the Highway it’s on) is an enigma wrapped up in a conundrum!
Well, maybe it’s just a diamond in the rough. Drive by too fast you’ll miss it! And you would MISS some of the most delicious food in North Carolina I have had.
WOW 601 is run by the friendliest couple – local small business owners from Venezuela.
The food is anything like fast food….everything is cooked to order. Fresh ingredients all.
The “Bowl” I had was scrumptious. A rhapsody of tastes, textures and flavors – awakening all yummy sensations.
It was filled with marinaded chicken, lettuce, cheese, black beans, olives, green peppers, pico de gallo, cucumber, and topped off with a heavenly pink sauce…..delicate and just the right combination of flavorful and traditional.
The menu is varied and “hit the proverbial spot.
Pull into this little spot and enjoy a surprise beyond any expectation.
