Red Rooster in Long Lake is a really cool spot. The vibe alone is worth mentioning, lots of interesting old and vintage signage everywhere you look, which gives the place a ton of character without feeling forced. We tried a couple pizzas and they were both solid. The one with goat cheese and onions had great flavor balance and a nice change from the usual options. The meat pizza with cupped pepperoni was a hit too, good texture, good bite, and plenty of flavor. Later we split the cookie s’mores skillet and it absolutely delivered, rich, messy in the right way, and perfect for sharing. Between the food and the atmosphere, this place stands out and feels like somewhere you could hang out longer than planned.

Food was good – we basically had cheeseburgers all around for the family and I had the chicken sandwich. Worth checking out. We were passing through on the way home from a hockey tournament. Good lunch choice spot

We enjoyed a fantastic meal at the bar, where the service was top-notch and the bartender was incredibly warm and welcoming. My boyfriend’s Jambalaya was outstanding, with just the right balance of spices. I savored the Parmesan crusted walleye, served with a gluten-free bun. We can’t wait to return and explore the rest of the menu. Oh and the host staff and food runners were exceptionally warm and welcoming, and it was reassuring to see a manager on hand, ensuring a seamless dining experience.

I highly recommend the Avocado and Roasted Corn Salad. Inside, you can dine at the bar, a booth, or a table. There are two beautiful exterior patios. The staff is superb, truly attentive to diners wishes. Even in the middle of the week, this restaurant and bar is busy, since it is popular with local residents.

Always a great day at Red Rooster!!!! The burger I ordered (Mill Street Burger) had pork on top and it was so good! Also some of the best fries I have EVER had!! The best part our meal was the incredibly nice waitress named Lainey. She was so thoughtful and made us laugh and feel heard and welcomed. Someone tell her how great she is!

Like the clean well decorated space. The vintage beer signs add to the vibe. The food and service were average. The prices are reasonable. Worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Brunch stop at a solid small-town spot. We were there to sample both sides of the menu—breakfast and lunch—and it was a great way to get a feel for the place. Everything we tried was good quality, well prepared, and consistent.
What really stood out was the wait staff: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without overdoing it. This is the kind of local place that does what it does well and takes care of its customers.
No hype, no flash—just a dependable hometown restaurant. Very solid.

Pleasantly surprised. My dad would frequent this place in the 70’s and I wanted to see how the place is now. I was hoping to read something more about their history on their menu or website but it is not there. The food was delicious and we’d return again in the future. Our waitress was very kind too.

My boyfriend grew up in this area and has been to Red Rooster many times and was impressed with the improvements and new menu. We were in town visiting and wanted lunch so stopped here. The outside patio was very spacious and pleasant. The server was pleasant and prompt. I got the vegetable sandwich which was on a delicious homemade sourdough and had fresh veggies, cheese, and a thousand island dressing. The tater tots were super yummy. My boyfriend got a burger which was cooked well. Great casual bar spot!
