Favorite restaurant in the NE by far – everything they serve is always absolutely delicious and perfection. Above that their staff is amazing! They always have the most welcoming and sweet servers and bartenders. Having amazing food is one thing but having people who make everyone feel welcomed is rare and puts this place above so many others. We are so glad you are in the area and provide such amazing food and experience.

This instantly became my favorite date night restaurant in the area. I had the lamb and phyllo parcels and beef cheek & broccoli and both were two of the best dishes I’ve ever had.

The cocktails were delicious, and the pacing of drinks/starters/entrees was perfectly timed. Our waitress checked in frequently but without interrupting and was extremely friendly, polite, and helpful.

Atmosphere was intimate but not tight. Conversational volume and dim lighting. Has a bar and works for casual or dressier nights out.

Expect $12-14 for cocktails, $15 for apps, and $25-40 for entrees.

Went for Valentines Day with my girlfriend. We were seated in the basement, pretty basic ambiance and decor, pretentious vibes immediately within entering. We wanted to sit next to each other rather than facing face to face to be closer. The host came over and gave us an excuse saying we can’t get by you need to move back, there was no blocking of any kind. Now for the food. Really underwhelming, dated and boring food, almost sad really. Chex Mix Furikake that we could have made at home. Lamb Parcels that tasted frozen with no flavor or proper seasoning. House Salad with lack of ingredients stated like bleu cheese, squash and pepitas and lack of proper seasoning. Last but not least the Fried Chicken I hear everyone raving about that was the most basic boring Fried Chicken ever with no seasoning or flavor. I’m a chef I know food, and this place is not it at all. You cannot trust the reviews a lot of the times and this is a clear case of that.

Everyone says their fried chicken is fantastic, and it is. The house salad was also hearty and delicious. Sat in the bar area and had a lovely server. Cocktails were spot on, wine list was good, the soup was beautiful and delicious. My only complaint is the brief menu. Just one of the three main dishes appealed to me, and there was no vegetarian entree, so that will likely limit how often I come back. Otherwise, a lovely evening meal.

Super cozy. My favorite dish was the smashed potatoes.

My party also enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and the mushroom pasta (that I forget the actual name of).

I did have to go downstairs to use the restroom and I would recommend that seating area over the upstairs – it’s much cozier with a fireplace. But both are great! Service was also fantastic. I would love to return if I am back in Western MA!

Calico remains one of my favorite restaurants in the pioneer valley.

Their food menu is always adventurous and yet reliable thanks to the legendary fried chicken mainstay.

Their cocktails and mocktails are delicious and often invite you to try something you love with a new element. The wine list is also small but mighty always including some things that you just don’t find most places like Lambrusco and Amber/Orange wines.

So the heirloom tomato app with avocado puree and arugula was very good with a nice light pesto dressing. Cracking the paremsan to get it started was fun as well. Broccolini app was also tasty. The filet was good, the waitress promised medium rare but it was definitely closer to rare, so that was the only real takeaway.. The fried chicken however, is truly worth the price of admission. Probably the best i’ve ever had, and the jalapeno slaw with vinegarette was wonderful. I’d love them to expand their mocktail bar, but the menu is very concise and to the point. Peach blueberry dessert was an absolute homerun as well with the buttermilk ice cream, the chocolate cake was a lil too rich for my blood. We were there for a little over an hour and they requested to move us due to a big party coming in, which we thought to be a bit rude, so that’s when we left. Next time cook the filet a a little more and let us chill and it’s 5 stars.

A great spot for a date night. The food is incredible. The chef has done an amazing job developing the recipes and mastering the texture and flavor. The paintings on the wall are gorgeous. Overall a perfect cozy vibe for the evening.

This place is a home run from drinks (super NA choices – you really should try the Violet Beauregard), small plates, dinners (outstanding curry for a vegan option) to desserts (seasonal take on strawberry shortcake that included a basil coulis) & coffee. Flavors are deliciously balanced and unique. The atmosphere is comfortably a mix of mill & modern. The service is personable and attentive. My first visit here landed it in my new fav rotation.

We got three apps and an entree. The apps were beet soup (good, but a bit bland), pickled carrots (excellent), and a Thai cauliflower (ok). The entree was pork chops, which was very good. The rating is four instead of five because: 1) the server did a tiny bit of shaming for asking a menu question (this may have been unconscious on their part, in the “you should know better” category), and 2) the value was not quite high enough (too pricey). A good special occasion venue. We had reservations and got seated right away. The apps came out fairly soon, but he entree took a little long.
