We were going to do a pub crawl in the area, blackthorn was our first stop and ended up being our only. The regulars here were so great! We were leaving and they got us to stay and bought us a round. Everybody here was so friendly I was sad to leave. Great local people and definitely good times! So glad we stopped in!!

Stopped into this place recently, used to be a regular many years ago when it was called Mcduffiys but I’ll tell you I have never felt more unwelcome and I get it it’s Mount Greenwood… But I’ll tell you I don’t know what it felt like to be a black man in a white only section… But I would say it was a similar experience at the very least. Hard pass on this place there’s a reason why there was no one there.

Absolutely Love Will! Best bartender, well definitely up there like top out 250 bartenders. Very accommodating and friendly. Fast service with a great fake smile and accent! Seen Liam Durkin play and he was amazing per usual! Was a great Thursday night with great friends in a very local establishment and the music and ambience were stellar. Sorry Will for earlier comments. You know I got nothing but love for ya! Definitely top 10!! And don’t worry ladies, that accent is 100% real, the smile, ehhhh. be warned of the friends though. Can’t wait to do this again! Also, they only have a ladies room, I had to sneak in, closest I could get to walking. Hateful c u next Tuesday room. And a men’s room only??? Show me the goods?!?!?! Where you hiding these “men”?

They have steel tip darts which is the main reason I frequent this place. It has grown on me a bit too. It is on the border line of a dive bar / trendy. Trendy in the sense that some younger folks are starting to go here. Standard Irish tap with a couple of Revolution brews on it.

Great watering hole. It just seemed like they could have had another barkeep. They only had one and there seemed to be at least 20 people in here. They did have someone come later, but maybe it was just crowded for the time we were there. Ambiance is nice. It was clean too.

If you’re looking for a good neighborhood hangout with ice cold drinks this is the place to go. Nothing like having a drink and fast passing some nonsense song by Niel Young to play real music like AC/DC. The crowd knows how to party. 5/5 stars.

Interesting neighborhood bar. Several generations of Southside people coexisting in a pub atmosphere. It has cleaned up over the past few years. Worth stopping in for a pint.
