If someone didn’t tell me this was their go to, I may not have experienced this place based on the reviews. I’m happy to say we thought the food was delicious! We got the sesame chicken, kung pao chicken, vegetarian egg rolls, pork egg rolls and chicken fried rice. The sesame chicken is almost like a sweet and sour chicken, very tasty! The kung pao chicken is a little different than we’re used to, it don’t have sauce, but the flavor is very good. The egg rolls are delicious! And although some scallions or a little more veggie would have been nice, the chicken fried rice is solid! We may have found a new go to go Chinese takeout

Tried this place for the first time after moving to the area. Boyfriend and I enjoyed it throughly. He gets bbq pork fried rice. I got the dinner special Mongolian beef with fried rice and it comes with either crab Rangoon which I chose or egg roles. Everything we had was very good and I also got some excellent egg drop soup. Only small note I would say is they didn’t give us any sauces like not one packet of soy sauce or sweet and sour. They also didn’t give us any little nice extras like fortune cookies. Obviously not required the cookies but it’s nice to have. Boyfriend did say he saw a station with them and sauces on the way out but wasn’t sure if that was self serve or part of their operations. Would have just been nice to either get , be asked , or told to grab on the sauce front. Overall the food was really good and we will be back. Also extremely reasonable prices . And I forgot we got teriyaki chicken as well and that was good as well .

The dinner meal is great because you get rice and an egg roll or crab Rangoon! I would say the quality of the food isn’t the best. The orange chicken tasted microwaved because it was hard/rubbery on the outside. The crab Rangoon was decent but chewy. I would say the rice was the best part. Would I get it again? I’m not sure.

The hygiene conditions of this restaurant are really terrible. There was even a fly in the broccoli beef dish, which made me feel extremely disgusted. I have already informed the business owner, but they haven’t made any response. The health department should conduct a thorough inspection of this establishment.

I’m trying to find Twice Cooked Pork like I used to have it, but it looks like I’ll have to cook it myself. The dish here in the Chicago land area is not what I’m used to and have gotten it now from 2 places and same ingredients. It is marked as spicy from Magic Kitchen but it was without flavor or spiciness. Awfully bland. I’m used to pork belly with the fat trimmed off, super tender because it’s cooked twice, Chinese cabbage, spicy as heck, not very greasy. What I’ve gotten (here and at another Chinese place) is pork belly with the fat, greasy, scallions?, onions and steamed rice. Not very good. Try something else. This location is marked as handicapped accessible but there is no way a wheelchair is getting in, and someone on crutches likely couldn’t get in without 2 people helping. There is no place to dine in, and it’s very dark and a little dingy. The girl taking orders was very nice and super fast. I have no doubt I’d find something on the menu that they do awesomely, but I’m on a quest. As an appetizer I got the crab Rangoon which were mostly wonton skin and 1 bite of filling. She provided sweet and sour in cups and I added hot mustard (don’t ask… just try it) and I used this to dip the Rangoon in. I love this so it was of course very good. For the price I’d say the Rangoon was reasonable.

Food continues to be great! However ordering online is the problem. I was told my order would be ready at 4:40 so I was there at 4:40. In fact, my order was not ready until 5:20. My 25 minute order became a 65 minute order. That’s A LOT of time to wait around in a not so spacious area. So beware, their Internet system is not good at analyzing previously placed orders and does adjust pickup times.c

As my mom has said, this is the closest to home cooked food that you can get at a restaurant. The pot stickers are the closest I’ve had to my grandmother’s, their fried tofu is excellent, and they have an incredible pork belly dish as well.

Edit: I went back a second time and it was just as enjoyable. Their eggplant with basil was excellent, and their roast duck was juicy with crispy skin, which is very difficult to achieve. Service was also great, lovely folks running the kitchen and front of house too.

Really tasty food with generous portions, and friendly staff! I’m not sure if they offer dine-in earlier in the day since it was not available when I came towards closing time.

I got two dinner combos: Mongolian Beef & Chicken Egg Foo Young (2 patties!) with fried rice. I really liked that you could choose an egg roll or crab rangoon with the combo. I also got a small Egg Drop Soup that was good!

Definitely recommend the Mongolian Beef because it was so flavorful with a hint of spice, and the Chicken Egg Foo Young was tasty!

However, I was sad the gravy was missing.. some places have the gravy on top of the Egg Foo Young patty or on the side.

Besides that, I would definitely order again!

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The service was terrible from the moment we walked in. There’s an older lady working there who has the worst attitude I’ve ever seen in the service industry. She was rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional in how she spoke to customers. It felt like we were a burden just for showing up.
The food? Just as bad. Tasteless, poorly cooked, and definitely not worth the price. Nothing about the experience was redeemable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — not even as a last resort. Save your time, money, and patience. Go anywhere else.

The “Boss” has the worst customer service I have ever seen from an establishment. She is very rude and inconsiderate. Give us soy sauce instead of egg foo young sauce. She had an attitude and acted as if it was our fault. also, their chicken egg rolls are terrible. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CONSIDERING OTHER PLACES.
