My husband and his best friend tried this place yesterday randomly because they were hungry and passing by and this place did not disappoint! My husband said the service was top tier, they were super friendly and the manager/cook guy was the best. They said he was funny and that the whole restaurant was a vibe, cozy atmosphere, whole place had a very homey feel. They went back twice again today and the food is top tier. My husband brought me home some of the chicken with a side of the hot honey, biscuits, and mac n’ cheese. All of it was so good, chicken was juicy and very flavorful and was even better with the hot honey drizzled onto it. I don’t even like biscuits but theirs were buttery, flavorful and a solid 10/10, literally ate the whole bag. The mac n’ cheese was a literal chefs kiss, so yummy. I really love how you could tell that everything was scratch made. I will say it is a little pricey but I will tell you now based on our personal experience for what you get, the flavor of the food, and the vibe I would pay that 100 times over. Nice to have quality food so close. Check them out!

Have seen this place for a long time when it was being built and have wanted to try it since I pass by it fairly often. Chicken was fantastic. If I’d known the chicken breast was going to be so juicy then I would have just gotten the 2 piece instead of the three piece. I got the coleslaw initially for my side but was not a fan of it for my tastes and got the fries instead which where really good on the seasoning and crispy. Overall I would highly recommend give this place a shot and I would come back again.

Had 4 tenders, 1 side(mac & cheese), biscuit, & drink for $9.99 . Came with white gravy. There were a bunch of sauces available at no charge. I recommend the “comeback” sauce. The food was what you would expect from a fast-food chicken place except for ONE AMAZING DIFFERENCE, the chicken tenders were FANTASTIC. These were some of the best chicken I have had anywhere. I don’t know what their secret is. Maybe it’s their marinade? Maybe it’s some kind of socery? Don’t care. The chicken tenders were so moist & tender and perfectly cooked. I will definitely be going back. Don’t take my word for it. Try it yourself. You’re going to be amazed, just like I was.

I tried honey‘s chicken when they first opened at 11 AM. First thing I noticed when going in their soda machine was down. When I got to the counter, I was greeted by a friendly lady. They made me feel optimistic about the food. I was getting ready to get for the drink I asked her if the sweet tea was good. She said “it’s sweet I even dipped my finger in it” I knew that was her southern charm, however when I got the tea, it was very subpar. I ordered the two-piece mix breast and thigh with fries, and I added an order of fried okra. In about three minutes, one of the employees brought my food to the table. 1st thing that I noticed the skin of the chicken appeared a bit dark as if it was close to being burnt. I ordered my chicken spicy in there delivery of that was sprinkling Cajun seasoning on the outside. Additionally, I also noticed that the breading itself didn’t get a good adherence to the skin as I could see the lightly yellow skin sticking out from underneath and clear signs of heavy fat on the chicken thigh, tearing off a piece of the skin to try What either makes it breaks fried chicken the skin. As I stated, the skin itself was rubbery, and the breading reminded me of lunchroom oven fried chicken. It wasn’t really crispy. It tasted very bland other than occasional seasoning that they sprinkled on top to make it spicy, and although I know that it was fresh from seeing them make it, it tasted very stale like it was old. I tried a piece of the chicken breast and although very juicy there was no flavor to the chicken at all. The best part of the visit was the biscuit, small in stature but good flavor soft and crumbly. The fries were Cajun style fries from any frozen food section resembling that of Rally’s or checkers and the fried okra was very lightly breaded with zero flavor in the okra itself tasted like it needed to be in the fryer for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. As I was raised to eat the food on my plate because there were starving children in other parts of the world, I tried to give it an honest go and finish what was on my plate. It really bothered me to have to throw a full plate of food away. I’m not sure who was in the test kitchen developing their flavor Profile but they definitely missed the mark. I honestly feel that if things aren’t changed honey’s, won’t be in existence for long.

Went through the drive-thru and had great service, the staff was pleasant, patient, and helpful. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The chicken was overly salty, greasy, and not hot/spicy as advertised. The mashed potatoes and gravy were bland, and the sweet tea turned out to be just iced tea. Great service, but I won’t be returning.

MY NEW FAVORITE FRIED CHICKEN JOINT!
I had the three piece meal with a side of cole slaw, biscuit & gravy. The chicken was crisp, moist and exceptionally tasty! The biscuit was smallish and the cole slaw fair.
There is self serve bbq sauce, which is the best I’ve had anywhere in any state.
I’ll be back soon.

Me and my boy visited Honey’s Chicken Joint on Rittiman, possibly during a soft opening since there wasn’t much fanfare. We were actually the first customers, which was a cool experience.
As for the food, it was just okay. The chicken didn’t stand out, pretty bland with no unique seasoning or flavor that made it really memorable. The steak fingers were a bit salty, and the mac and cheese was average. My friend mentioned the fries reminded him of Checkers fries, which might be a plus depending on your taste.
The interior of the restaurant wasn’t too impressive either. It felt a bit unfinished or under decorated. Again, if this was just a soft opening, that might change later.
Overall, I’d rate it a 2.5 out of 5. Nothing was terrible, but nothing really stood out either. Just regular.

I just discovered wonderful chicken tenders. I rate these 5 overall . Favor and crispness is delicious. Mac & cheese was awesome. Biscuit was also delicious. My only critique is I wish the biscuit was bigger. We are in Texas come on now. I will definitely be back for more.

That is some of the juiciest fried chicken I ever had! This spot had been under cobstruction for a long time, but I heard earlier that they were open and had to try it for myself. I got a 3 piece opting for bone-in instead of tenders. It came with a side, drink, and biscuits. While the biscuits were smaller they were flavorful, tender, and moist, not the hockey pucks you get at other chicken places. Their array of sauces was delicous and creative, and I loved the hot honey on both the chicken and the biscuits. The staff was gracious and welcoming, and rightfully took prife in their establishment. I am definitely going back. I gotta try that apple pie!
