The only Chinese Restaurant in Surry County I trust and regularly go to. I live 25 mins away and it’s worth the detour every time. I’ve never had bad or even bland food from this restaurant. You can tell that they do everything to order and they do everything well.

I got the general tso chicken and rice, cheese wontons and egg drop soup! Everything, as usual, was awesome! The family there is so friendly, I feel like I have watched the children grow up!! Always great food!!!

This is an overrated place or maybe the chef is on-strike when we visited. The fried rice comes with our lunch special is almost spoiled and have a smell. It is just not the rice we usually have. However the dinning table is clean. Nothing else is special.

A diamond in the rough! We were traveling through the area and happened upon Taste of China. The food was delicious, and can confidently say they had the best egg roll I’ve ever had. Prices were very reasonable, portions were a good size, and food was served fast and hot. If I’m driving through the area again, I would go out of my way to come back here.

While visiting the area our family was craving Chinese and after reading the reviews we decided to try Taste of China. Taste of China exceeded our expectations in taste, quality and variety of different options. The place can be a little difficult to find the first time with Google maps but once inside we could tell it was definitely a favorite with the locals and did a huge takeout business. We had the sweet sour chicken, vegetable fried rice, hot & sour soup, egg rolls and spring rolls all which were excellent. The food was made fresh when ordered and the fried rice was even moist the next day warmed up for lunch because they give you huge portions you won’t be disappointed.

Very small place ran by a very nice family. Never have any issues here. Food is always hot and prepared exactly as you request. Though keep in mind this is really a Chinese to go restaurant. Though you can eat on site at some of the tables they have that isn’t really what the owners tailor to. I have no problems with that though. It’s a small town and this is a great, quick Taste of China (pun intended) for the family at home.

We recently moved to the Pilot Mountain area and just visited Taste of China for the first time. It was nothing short of excellent! We got the General Tso chicken, vegetable fried rice, two spring rolls and a side of sweet and sour sauce. All was fresh, piping hot and very tasty, and it was enough for dinner for two plus lunch tomorrow. Service was fantastic, too – very friendly! We are tickled to pieces to find such a good Chinese restaurant just five minutes from home, and we will definitely be back. (Side note: the General Tso had a bit more heat to it than we’re used to, but it was delicious nonetheless. A spoonful or two of plain rice afterward helped “cool the burn.”)

My review is based on the reaction by the management to a customer seated across from us. The lady had a roach crawl up her arm just as she took a bite of her meal. She complained and the manager allowed her to go without any offer to refund her money. We had also just started eating our $22 worth of food when the roach attacked. That almost resulted in my vomiting up what I had just consumed. Our food also went into the trash…… DISGUSTING
