This location needs more positive reviews. The negative reviews seem unfair. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza online and it was excellent. The customer service was great and staff is friendly.

I ordered 5 medium wings and a large buffalo chicken pizza which unfortunately left me wondering why it was such a let down compared to the Bushnell’s basin Pontillo’s near where I work. There were so few chicken pieces on the 12 slices you would be lucky to find an average of 3 chunks on each, basically it was mostly a thick pizza crust with half the expected cheese, sauce, or chicken. The medium wings were decent but completely lacked any spice whatsoever with the medium sauce, maybe go with Hot as a minimum unless you like really mild wings. The service was great as I walked in as the only customer and they guessed that I was Chris coming in to pickup my order.

Updating my review based on the store response to an other customer regarding the changes to buff chick pizza. Just ask for breaded chicken and it is still the best pizza in the universe. I appreciate the transparency.

Why did you change your buff chick pizza???the grilled chicken ruins what once was the best buff chick in the universe. Such a sad day. Service was solid.

This place has great service. My food is always ready when they say it will and they always make sure I’m getting whatever deals are available. I’ve never been missing anything from my order or anything like that. Food is totally solid for the money, this place has never disappointed me and I’ve ordered there quite consistently over the past few years.

Changed their buffalo chicken recipe, absolutely ruined it. Instead of crispy chicken tenders, it’s now plain old chicken that tastes like it’s last nights leftovers. Sad! And the reason given isn’t that it’s cheaper (actually costs more apparently) but people like the healthier option…uhh people it’s pizza? Your gains here in health are marginal. Absolute travesty, won’t be back until the pizza changes.

Perhaps they were having an off night but I’ll probably go to the Pittsford location next time.

The pepperoni pizza seemed like it was either in the oven too long or under heat lamps way too long, not fresh at all. Bummer since we’re not in town frequently and usually look forward to getting Pontillos.

I ordered my first ever Cauliflower pizza and my first pizza in 3 months since a diabetes diagnosis. I had to triple check and I’m still not sure it was a cauliflower crust, it tasted so damned good. It’s like a super thin crust pizza, but with all the same flavor. You guys nailed it!

This Pontillos used to have the single best slice in town. Their buffalo chicken slice was a 10/10 and all their slices are priced reasonably. I pass like 6 pizza places from where I live in the city to get to Pontillos in Brighton.

However, recently they changed their buffalo chicken slices. They no longer use breaded chicken that soaks up had hot sauce for the perfect flavor.. now they are using frozen “grilled” chicken that tastes like rubber and soaks up nothing. Twice I purchased this and was hugely let down before I asked about it recently.

As soon as I asked the employee rolled his eyes.. Said he agreed with me.. And doesn’t understand why the stubborn manager made the change and won’t change back. I know why the change was made- this news frozen chicken is cheaper. Very clearly cheaper. No thanks.

I stopped in again recently and this was still the case, so no reason to ever return to Pontillos in Brighton ever again.

I’m not gonna support a business that hides their best product behind a paywall.. Because now if I want that slice I gotta order the whole pie. Not convenient at all for this single dad.

Nothing worse than a stubborn business owner who can’t get out of their own way. I totally understand raising prices to accommodate inflation if it’s appropriate.. But a food place that cuts costs instead is not one to support. Cutting cost of your food means cutting the quality of your food.

So disappointed to even write this review. I used to go to Pontillos like twice a week.. That’s like 100 times a year I gotta find an alternative. But that’s what I’ll do.

Not sure on the negative reviews, this was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Will surely be ordering again. This is the New Yorker – specifically order this.

We ordered a pizza last night from Pontillo’s Brighton. It was not good. It was a med with banana peppers and onions. The crust tasted like it was sitting around all day. The pizza tasted old and stale. We have had pizza from this loctaion before that was pretty good. Hot and fresh. Last night was not the case. I ordered pick up so when I got home I was not about to go back out. The most important think is getting a hot fresh tasting pizza.
