Great food , fantastic service. Been here 3 times and always great food. 50% off on a Sunday and Wednesday when you pay cash. Don’t be fooled by the offer, the food is amazing.. You can also take in your own alcohol, and next door there is a Sainsbury’s to buy it from. Top restaurant.

I had dinner here last night with some of my friends and the experience was excellent. The food was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was quick.it was 50% off on food and was really busy. The guy was really humble and asked us the food was ok or not,we need anything or not. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and very welcoming. Overall, a great place to eat — I’ll definitely come back and highly recommend it.”

This indian restaurant is brilliant. Take your own alcohol and have some of the best, spiciest curry around. Full of flavour and roasting hot. It’s 2 for one, so it’s basically half price. They pack up any left overs to take home. It’s best to book as it gets busy, and it’s not massive inside. We’ve been a few times and well worth a visit, not just for the offer, but for the food.

We have just returned from a trip to Maya Spice and I’m honestly still in shock at the poor level of service we received. I’ve never experienced anything like it.
The waiters gave the impression that we were an inconvenience from the moment we arrived. We were a table of two in a near empty restaurant (only two other diners) with three staff members present, but we were still left for nearly 20 minutes without being offered a drink. We eventually had to ask the waiter if we could please order drinks. He then proceeded to walk over to the bar, but instead of bringing our drinks, he got out his phone and stood with the other two staff members who were also just sat with their phones out. 5 minutes later we had to ask them to bring our drinks over.
We also had to ask twice for them to take our food order.
When the food came the portions were generous but the food itself was average.
There was no ambience in the restaurant, no music playing, and the overall experience was bizarre. It felt like they didn’t want us there.
We quickly asked for the bill, paid in cash, and were not brought our change, as once again the three wait staff leaned on the bar with their phones out. At this point we just wanted to leave, so I hope they enjoy the unwarranted tip as we won’t be setting foot in there again.

This Indian restaurant is fantastic. It’s BYOB and the food is simply outstanding. The curries are packed with flavour, with the 50% off it’s incredible value for money with generous portions. We had 5 naans, rice, 2 curries, mixed grill and 2 starters for aorund 50 quid!!
Defo be coming back again.

I’ve been ordering takeaway from Maya since they first opened and the food is always delicious! My go to is the lamb korma and it’s so tender and soft, it melts in your mouth quite literally, along with aromatic garlic naan and pilau rice

My partner’s go to is the lamb jaipuri with a portion of chips and he loves how spicy it is. The lamb is just as tender and the red curry is a big spicy kick of flavour. He also commented on how their chips are pretty good too

We also get the mixed kebab with mint yogurt sauce and that yellow pot of gold sauce is what we crave the most! The two combined is my partner’s favourite part of the meal

Everything is made fresh for you, which means you could be waiting up to 40-60 minutes for a takeaway, however the food is still hot and it’s worth waiting for

We haven’t dined in yet just because we like the convenience of pigging out at home, however we’ve walked past Maya’s many times and it looks like a lovely restaurant where we’ll be sure to come on a proper date night in the future

The food here is nice & tasty, I could tell the food was made with passion rather then a schedule, the staff were very friendly & welcoming definitively explaining the dishes & content, the menu seemed streamline & not an essay making it more simplified in ordering, the aesthetics of the place had a modernised feel & welcoming, the portions of the food was adequately blissful, we will be back for more thank you.

The name of this place is misleading — it’s not an Indian restaurant, it’s Bangladeshi. I ordered the so-called biryani and honestly… as an Indian, seeing that called biryani should be punishable by law.

I gave 2 stars: one for the table, one for the chair.

On arrival didn’t have our booking at 8.30, but after 20mins found us a table. Our starter arrived in good time but it was 30 mins before our main arrived. Food was really good and plentiful. Added bonus you can take your own drinks with you and no corkage fee.

First time today we visited Maya Spice and I was really impressed. The food was lovely, hot, tasty and well presented. The staff were absolutely amazing, they were extremely helpful and accommodating, nothing was to much trouble. They went above and beyond, the sun was blaring in through the windows and without any prompting they noticed that I was struggling with the glare, they closed the blinds and also placed a poster up on the door glass to block out the sun. I can not praise the staff enough, thank you for a lovely enjoyable visit!! We will definitely return.
