Interesting menu with lots of attractive options but no appetizers. Waited a long time just to place my order, while they focused on take out instead.
I considered leaving but decided to give it a try. The signature Chow Fun was quite delicious and worth it. Not sure if i would dine in again but would certainly consider take out.

The rice house is a claypot rice restaurant but they don’t actually give u a clay pit they only cook it and serve it in plastic to go bowls.
Lots of ppl just order online and get delivery as not many ppl typically dine in.
But if you do dine in, there’s plenty of seating and lots of room with DIY water and stuff.

Overall food was okay, definitely needed to eat it with their sauce packet.
Would recommend their half and half to try different things out.

Make sure you ask for , “low salt!”
We order take-out, egg fu yung, sparib with black bean sauce, veges, chicken mushroom pot, and tomato with egg. With the exception of tomato with egg everything was super salty from salt and soy sauce, think Classical Lay potato chips being 3 times saltier. Why they use so much salt? Simple. Ingredients are not fresh and excessive salt would numb our taste buds. My 1st and last time with this place.

Best clay pot rice in bay area so far, I love the rice crust 🙂 it would be great if they can serve Choi sum instead of broccoli.

Got off an flight from Seattle and we were looking for a place to eat. This was the only restaurant that was open, the food took a while, but the dish was pleasant. However, very disappointed with the presentation as well as the quality of the vegetables in the dish. (Lots of rice and meat but only two strips of vegetable) this place is Cash only, but they do accept Venmo. Overall, it was a place to check out and definitely try there meat dishes, but don’t be expecting much vegetables.

Came here for lunch on Sunday around 1:30pm and had to wait around 15min to be seated for two. I think it was worth the wait though! We got the Chicken and Mushrooms and the Preserved Meat clay pot. (Though they didn’t have the Salted Fish with Pork Belly we wanted) Definitely yummy, will be back to try the other items on the menu!

Went in and they have a large menu. I went with number 2 which is the chicken and mushroom. They told me that they don’t take card, either cash or Venmo. After payment, they said that it will take 15 minutes to cook
After waiting for 15 minutes, got the food and went outside. (pandemic still so there is no indoor dining.) The good was very hot when i opened it. It tasted okay. It came with a packet of soy sauce. Nothing too special about it. Just soy sauce it looks like. Overall. It’s okay. Nothing too special. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Will try again in the future.
