Oui oui loved it! My first time dining here and the food was outstanding. I had the mussels and they were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Two coworkers with me and they both really enjoyed their meals. It took forever to get our food but I was told there is one chef handling the entire kitchen so maybe it’s to be expected. Just be careful if you’re on any type of schedule. The waitress was very friendly and helpful but the service was slow, and with so few tables I wouldn’t expect that. Very nice restaurant, beautiful inside and out with plenty of easy parking.

The Reuben I got from this here was absolutely amazing and if I say that I mean it because I am sort of a Reuben snob. Corned beef is upmost favorite food so much so I have had it every year on my birthday for the last 30 something years. The portion size is great. You may see ppl on here complaining about only getting chips on the side but the taste of the main dish more than makes up for it.
I also got to try the turkey and dressing and that was fantastic as well
You may see in some of the reviews ppl calling the owner rude and obnoxious. I can tell you that she definitely has a sweet and caring side.
Edit: I have now tried their chicken salad sandwich and that tasted great as well.
They had corner beef 3/18/25, and it was definitely delicious. The corned beef was nice and tender with a delicious bold flavor.
The cabbage and potatoes were delicious as well. I believe they may start having this more often for at least a little while, and if you get the chance definitely try that meal

I have now gotten to try their french fries
And they are delicious. I got em Door Dash so they weren’t % fresh and they were still great.

I have now gotten to try their Jambo Beurre and their potato salad.
Both are really good.

I have not gotten to try their onion rings.
Their batter is very delicious has great flavor
If you happen to be in on a day they have them definitely get some.

Always great food as the cook really cares about our experience. I’ve been a few times with excellent food and service each time. The owner is the cook and she loves her restaurant and customers.

After hearing much about this place, decided to check it out. Owner/cook came out to speak with us about the dishes. The food was delicious. It is a BYOB, but that wasn’t a problem. The only issue I had was we were seated on the other side of the restaurant by ourselves. We could hear others enjoying themselves and we just felt isolated. We saw there were other tables available, so not sure why that was. Will try lunch next time.

Found a post on Facebook about their brunch and inquired on a menu/pricing/specials. Received a nasty reply stating they’re “not running a chicken shack, prices are affordable if you’re not on welfare and a typical elite fairhope resident and special is the same as their lunch menu” of which they posted a picture of a standard lunch menu, for a brunch that was advertised. Typical rude french person and so not the way to get new customers through the door. Will definitely not come here now. Sad

Ordered to go shrimp n grits with a Cesar salad and it was the best, couldn’t ask for a better meal. But to top it off I also ordered the bread pudding and It was to die for it so good 10/10 highly recommend

We had dinner here while staying at Pirates Cove RrrrV Park. Our waiter was very nice. We had the Charcuterie Board, Sautéed Garlic Shrimp, Chicken Paprika both served with a salad. Everything was delicious and all made fresh. This is not fast food! It’s a wonderful sit down meal. We will be back on our next vacation!

Came here the other day with my mother who is in the Retirement home connected to this establishment And I took her to eat here because she is wheelchair bound and it’s very very hard to load her in the car without her being in some type of pain so I thought this place would be yummy and perfect, I was really was let down by the quality of service and the food I received for me and my mother, I ordered fish and chips and the pricing was outrageous. And my mother ordered some type of salad it was close to 20 dollars, our bill with drinks was close to 60 dollars, which normally I don’t have a problem paying but for issues at hand the price isn’t warranted, The only reason I can think this place is still in business is because it’s attached to a retirement home and they are getting traffic from that. If you live in Fairhope like we do there is so many other places I would pick to come to before I come here, but we sat there for about 15 minutes before anyone came to see us or before we received any drinks, because of this and how old my mother is and her medical conditions I had to go to my mothers room to get her something to drink, I could not understand why we were not being seen due to their being only two more parties in the restaurant. and when I got my food it was luke warm at best and my fish had cold spots in it when I was biting down into it. My mothers said her salad was ok but only had a couple of bites, I hate leaving bad reviews but I just had to in this case. I wish I would have read the reviews because the owner can’t take criticism at all and I wish I wouldn’t have given her money to keep this restaurant in business, if you look at the bad reviews she has she will reply to them and attack the people that leave them. I know she will probably do the same to this one and prove my point, how about instead of Attacking people giving you lower score reviews you should listen to them and adjust yourself, I know I will come back to this establishment to give you another chance at some point because you are so close to my house and so convenient so I hope when I come back next time it is a different experience, and if it is I will update my review.
