If you’re heading up north, stop in and get your homemade healthy breads, dinner rolls and delicious sweet rolls. The Cranberry Walnut Bread with flax is the best we have ever eaten. Their Creamy Dinner Rolls with Flax are perfect for your parties. We always stop and load up to take back home. These freeze well, too!!

So kiddo just had a birthday. He’s 4. When it was time to order order his cake I let him decide & tell the people what he wanted. He told lady behind counter the at the bakery he wanted a rainbow triceratops. I had no idea what to expect. I’m beyond pleased. Thank you Gunkel’s Bakery in antigo. Wish I could attach a picture. They did an excellent job on the decorating, and it tasted wonderful too!

My family has been stopping by Gunkels for last 30 years on our way to our cabin outside of eagle river. As good as there pasteries are: wonderful treats & awesome garlic toast, the staff make all the more worthwhile. They have always gone out of there way to serve you the best. Highly recommend you stop by in the morning! Just great pastries and staff.
