I have recently moved down here from Louisville. I have tried to find a consistently open restaurant in this area, but there’s only 2 restaurants within 10 miles. This is one of them. My first time here it was very busy, so I placed a take out order, I was told it would take 25 or so minutes. I waited in my truck for 15 or 20 minutes and went back in, no order yet, so I stepped to the side and waited. After waiting several minutes inside a waitress asked if I had ordered and what? I told her we discussed my wait, about 35 minutes at this point and she said she would see about it. After about 55 minutes she brought out an order, apologized and gave me the food…free. When I got home it was obvious one order(piping hot), the other cold which one sat there and which one was fresh. So my aunt enjoyed her hot meal and I had my cold meal. So two Fridays later I went back hoping for a better visit. I arrived at 10 after 4, it was supposed to be open already, I and several others waited till 4:30, no one ever showed up. Needless to say I haven’t been back.

Went there on a Saturday morning. Had a great breakfast. One of the best I had in a while. Three adults were able to eat for twenty dollars. Friendly service as well. Food was served very fast.

My wife and I had breakfast several times at this restaurant when my mother-in-law was in the hospital at Owensboro. Excellent service and excellent food as well as very good portions! They advertised all you can eat frog legs every Friday evening. If that is still going on, we plan to drive all the way from Louisville just for a relaxing evening with good food and excellent service!

Another good lunch and experience at Kelly Rae’s yesterday. I went the easy route and ordered a cheeseburger and man it was so good. I couldn’t pass on ordering tater tots and they were great and it was all washed down with some good sweet tea.

My first & only visit here. Food, service & decor were top notch! I tried the Onion rings & a burger on texas toast that came with a fried egg on it. I cannot remember the name of that burger… anyways it and the onion rings were delicious! I usually take a photo to share but before I remembered, it had been eaten. ☺☺
