Had beer and the house hot dog on Mon Feb 23rd for dinner. First time to Texas! We really enjoyed it. The manager Beryl introduced herself and made small talk and beer suggestions and our waitress (young blond gal, can’t remember her name) was really friendly and quick on service! Very nice staff! The dog’s were awesome! Beer was from breweries in Texas and it was really great dinner for us! Don’t hesitate to try it!

Concept and ambiance is similar to The Backyard (the owner’s restaurant next door), which I also enjoy.
I like the food at Yard Dogs more, it caters to a more classic ‘bar food’ patron. There’s also a larger drink selection, which is nice.

This place is a vibe! Great management, hard working employees, and everyone is kind and professional. Always a special that can’t be beat. Wednesday is 1/2 price wine and Darren is the absolute best person to wait on us each week. He knows our order, he checks on us frequently, and always has a smile! Love this place!

9/14/22: This was our first visit. Came for a couple of drinks. We sat at the bar and Melodee was bartending. We had a beer, a Blueberry lemonade and a jalapeño cheddar bratwurst. There were plenty of TV’s throughout, and a large TV outside. There was a very large backyard area, with picnic tables and outdoor games. There was a very large liquor and wine selection available. Lots of high end bourbon and tequila. We met the manager, Tim, and we had a nice chat about his vision for the place. We would certainly return!
8/9/23: We arrived shortly after 4pm, sat at a table, and Emma was a great hostess. We ordered drinks and they came pretty quickly. We ordered fried jalapeños, chicken wings, chicken quesadilla, and chili cheese fries. Our order didn’t take very long and the food was very hot on arrival. It was too hot to sit outside. We enjoyed our Happy Hour, and Emma kept checking on us to make sure we were okay. She was very attentive and friendly. There was plenty of parking outside, and the location was great.

Great Patio. Hot dogs are huge. Service is friendly and efficient. No long waits for food or drinks. Went on a Sunday for the Cowboys game and the place was full and a lot of fun.

Recently relocated to Murphy from the Hwy 380 corridor in far North Little Elm and loving how close and convenient all the shopping and dining options are here. Nothing but national chains where we used to live so we’ve been enjoying trying all the privately owned restaurants in town. First time at Yard Dawgs and we really liked it. Street tacos were better than I’ve had at most Mexican restaurants. The steak was surprisingly tender and juicy and the flavor of all the toppings was amazing. The wife got a bratwurst but after tasting the tacos she was hooked for next time. Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious as well. Service and atmosphere was great. We’re not drinkers or sports fans and honestly were just looking for something open late as the day slipped away from us and we found ourselves after 9 pm without having had dinner. Definitely higher quality than your typical bar food. Also appreciated they play good music at just the right volume to enjoy it but still hear each other at the table. Definitely adding Yard Dawgs to our rotation of favorite dining spots and looking forward to when the weather cools down so we can check out their patio dining.

Top tier service, to start with. Waiter was on top of refills and removing dirty dishes, and ensured we were satisfied with our food. The atmosphere was nice, warm lighting and popular music. Despite being autistic I didn’t feel overstimulated. I got a bratwurst with Jalapeño and Cheddar, and the outside was tough. Not my style, but very authentic to how brats are meant to be prepared. Sweet potato fries were very well made. The prices of the foods were lower than I expected, and still delicious. About $18 per person, if you don’t bother with alcohol.
Overall, this location was a breath of fresh air in this era of crap service and overpriced food. Give this place a shot!

Really good dogs & brats . Fantastic bread. The options are plenty to make a dog of your own taste. Decent beer menu. The fries are delish!!!
