This place is truly in a bad spot!! I have always thought this place was closed but they actually have really good food. We had the escargot, calamari, house salad, crab stuffed ravioli, angel hair pasta with shrimp, raspberry cheesecake with water and a chardonnay. The Calamari was under seasoned and taste a bit fishy but they were okay. The server was very attentive (Jamie) and very nice. Jaimie was patient and helped us out with suggestions. I’m giving 4 stars because we couldn’t find out how to get in the place but noticed a small arrow pointing in the direction we needed to go and because the Calamari was not that good. I will probably go back, but this time I will dress appropriately. At this place you are supposed to dress casual but we got in with sandals and jeans; I’m happy Jamie let us in.

Update: a year later and the food and service is still impeccable. This is one of our favorite places to dine. Excellent service, and the meal was absolutely delicious. The establishment was very nice, comfortable and clean. Will likely return and try more items from the menu.

Owner is really nice, makes the best set on the beach i have ever had! Oyster Rockefeller was amazing, I also had the lobster top notch food with amazing service ! I absolutely loved the atmosphere a must visit!

Excellent food and service. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. The chicken Wellington was unlike anything I had ever had before. The veggies were cooked to perfection. The carrots were candied. The cheese cake with the raspberry was on point. The sauce was so freshly made and the crust had the perfect amount of cinnamon . I will definitely be bringing friends here soon.

We decided upon Seven Gables for New Year’s Eve. My wife and I had never been but the two other couples with us had dined at the restaurant a few times. Knowing we were going, I had checked the Google reviews and saw that for the most part the reviews were positive. We had 8PM reservations and were promptly seated. Our server explained the specials and was very patient as the ladies in our group began asking twenty questions. Based on his recommendations orders were placed. The restaurant was comfortably busy. Not to the point to where we were knocking elbows with other guests but just enough of a crowd that gave a friendly feeling. I ordered a steak and my wife ordered the chicken Wellington. We were both pleased. I even tried AND finished my carrots and I am not a cooked carrot person. The potatoes were wonderful and would have loved a few more but all in all the portion sizes left me satisfied. I had read other comments regarding portion sizes and could see where the price for a meal could appear expensive for what was plated, yet I could tell that more went in to creating the dish than some simple recipe. We finished off the night with desserts and coffee. For my wife and I our bill was $87. This was without adult beverages and I do feel it was worth the price. We were the last table to leave and were walking out shortly before 10pm. Two hours from when we were seated until we left seemed to fly by. Good friends and good food made it a great night. The restaurant does show its age, but not in a negative manner. You can tell Seven Gables has been around for a few years. We will visit again.

This was our second annual visit and Seven Gables didn’t disappoint! we live the cottage feeling in this adorable French inspired restaurant. The wait staff was excellent and our meal was too. We started with escargot and it was delicious, a great start to the meal, then we had Veal dishes and the steak. The homemade bread is to die for and whatever Cabernet they offer in the carafes is absolutely divine, and well priced. We loved our fresh seasonal veggies, especially the perfectly cooked carrots. We’ll be back next year for sure!

First time guest. Service fantastic. Server friendly & helpful. Atmosphere warm & welcoming. Food was the disappointment. Overpriced. Steak was a poor cut, mostly grizzle. Chicken Wellington ok, not a lot of flavor. Sides were tiny..3 carrot slices, 5 tiny potato pieces, 7 mini green beans. We are not complainers. We just pay & not return.

This was our first visit. We have always wanted to stop by but they were always closed. Well today we struck gold. Even though we were dressed less than casual, mind you no shorts are t straps just not our regular dinner attire,because we were leaving the MRI clinic. The food was great the staff was superb. Maybe I should reverse that. But hey my husband stated several times that we will be back. I have already notified by family and friends that this is a must. The atmosphere was just what we needed.
