This was the perfect send off for honoring my late father. Erica was the perfect hostess despite it being a busy night. We felt well attended. The food was perfectly cooked with quality ingredients. Even my brother, who is wine afficnado, enjoyed the cabernet and thought that was well balanced. We felt at home.

We had the buffalo frogs legs, does green tomatoes, hunters platter, green swamp platter, and a sirloin steak. All were beautifully cooked and highly recommend!

Passed by this place on my way through Groveland and decided to come back and try it. What a hidden gem! Red Wing has a rustic, backwoodsy feel, with authentic homestyle cooking. I had the maple pecan pork chops. They were so juicy and bursting with flavor. A real delight! I was also surprised by how much I enjoyed the tomato soup, because I’m not usually a soup person. All the dishes have so much to offer. Also, Diana was so sweet and accommodating. If you’re thinking about stopping in, this is your sign!

Ate here for the first time, I had the filet and my wife had the chicken fried steak. Both tasted very good, however I will say my steak and vegetables were a bit overdone. The Buffalo frog legs appetizer was delicious. We definitely plan on returning. Erica was awesome and can’t wait to see her again!

The food and service at Red Wing is always amazing. We went last night for my birthday, as I specifically wanted the elk chops. Lucky for me, they were a special on the menu this week and were delicious as usual. My husband and our friend had the all you can eat haddock and shrimp. They bread the seafood in house with a very light breading that was crispy and seasoned to perfection. For desert, they had peach cobbler with ice cream, which happens to be a favorite of ours. My husband and I shared one huge portion and were stuffed by the time we left.

If you are looking for a fancy atmosphere, this is not the place. The restaurant has a small town rural feel to it and you will be perfectly comfortable wearing jeans for this terrific meal. I highly recommend Red Wing!

Very rustic and old school. Wasn’t that busy when we were there and our service was exceptional. Diana made sure we were well taken care of. Food was good and loved the fact they make their ranch and blue cheese dressings in house. DELICIOUS! My husband had the elk chops and he said they were some of the best he has ever had. If you’re visiting the area, venture out into the ‘country’ and experience this great little place!

Stopped in for a bite and an emergency phone charge… had excellent Fried Green Tomatoes. Erica was my amazing and kind server – made a fresh pot of coffee for me and was super helpful- even shedded the chicken breast I grabbed for the dog! Charming and authentic. Animals out back!

This is our go-to restaurant for special family dinners. Everything I’ve tried has been one of the best dinners of my life! Steaks and burgers, seafood, prime rib, pork chops, game meat… all of it, absolutely delicious. The prime rib is literally the best cut of meat I’ve ever had. Buttery, melt in your mouth perfection. Service is great even on a busy weekend night. Very family friendly with a comfy old-time country diner vibe.

I’ve tried some new things for the first time here, like gator tail and elk sausage, and it’s all been so good that I would gladly anything on the menu again.

Even the burgers taste so much more fresh and delicious than anything I’ve had at a chain.

Absolutely worth the drive and located on a beautiful country farm, we always enjoy saying hello to the farm animals behind the restaurant too.

We always look forward to going back for birthdays, vacation and holidays. Thanks Red Wing!

We absolutely love this restaurant! The elk chops and steak tips are “out of this world” DELICIOUS and the best! The garlic mashed potatoes and baked potatoes are also divine. We ended our meal with a carrot cake cheese cake that had just the right level of sweetness! Diana, our server, was extremely hospitable, accommodating, friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed her hospitality! This is now our favorite restaurant all throughout Lake County! If you haven’t visited Red Wing, please make it a point to dine in! The food is amazing, and the prices are reasonable for the excellent service and meal you get!

Celebrated Mother’s Day here. We chose the Fried Green Tomato appetizer, Elk Chops cooked medium, Fried Quail Platter and Crab Cake dinner. We finished the experience with Orange Cake and homemade Blueberry Cobbler with ice cream. The food was excellent. This restaurant is a hidden gem. I definitely recommend giving it a try. Will be back!
