This place is a solid 4, 4.5. The food, service and drinks were really food. The bathrooms are clean, they have 2 which is good for a restaurant of this size. The server knew the menu and spoke only on items he had and I really appreciate the honesty. The bill for 2 was 130, that was 2 drinks, 2 meals and an appetizer, that’s really good! Krack Korn is really good, the deviled eggs were on the sweet side, hot honey catfish was very good and crispy and the jambalaya, while it said a little spicy was very spicy but full of flavor. I earned $10 in rewards from my first so I’ll be back soon, gotta my way thru the menu!

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The atmosphere lacked a vibe, and the customer service fell well below expectations. The gentleman who took our order made me feel inconvenienced by our presence, which set a negative tone for the visit. Despite our party of five, only one menu was provided until I requested additional ones.
With a small venue of seven tables, four booths, and three bar seats, I expected more attentive service. However, everything was a wait, waiting for menus, waiting for straws, and nearly fifteen minutes seated before anyone took our order. Eventually, I got up and walked to the bar to request straws myself. Although the gentleman did apologize, the overall experience suggested that the staff could benefit from stronger customer service training and attentiveness.
My buddy ordered BBQ wings but somehow ended up with habanero wings, I have no idea how that mix-up happened. Our mouths were on fire from the first bite! We waited again for the correct flavor of wings. I finished both my water and my drink… no refills in sight! The waitress never came back to check on us. When she finally arrived, I kindly held up my two empty glasses. My buddy waited longer than the 9 minutes he was told and requested his wings to go! Not the mention the lemonade he ordered was never brought out!
After awhile, you’re just ready to get the check and leave. Personally, the only thing I enjoyed was the music!!

This restaurant had been on my list for a couple months and I finally got to try it and I was not disappointed. It was a very quaint, family type atmosphere, almost intimate but really chill. I happened to go on a Tuesday where they had some specials and I did partake of a beverage special but instead of the tacos, I opted for the hot honey catfish with a side of greens and boy was it good. There were three beautifully fried catfish fillets and a nice serving of greens to the point that I had leftovers. And the service was nice and friendly and on point from the minute I stepped in the door. There’s even a patio out back, and they have a DJ that comes in the evenings. I must say I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Pros: The food was really tasty. I had the catfish mac and mash with gravy.Went during happy hour so the margaritas were only 8 dollars. The drinks were pretty strong but also tasted good.
Cons: The place is small it’s probably only 10 to 11 tables. You’re so close together your literally in the next tables conversation.The staff was nice and helpful. But eleven tables plus being host/hostess can make service slow sometimes. I loved the rnb vibe especially on Friday prime date night. The DJ was overkill the huge speaker he had turned it from bar loud to club loud. That’s cool at a club where you’re gonna move around not at a dinner where you actually wanna talk to your date.
All in all it was a good experience. Good date spot especially if you wanna impress your woman. Definitely make a reservation tho

First let me start out by saying how excited I was to get to Mimi’s. Reviews were saying how good it was and after looking at the menu ahead of time, had my heart set on the hot honey catfish and to try the wings. Well, we arrived for 1pm reservation and was advised that there was not any catfish as they’d run out the day before and they were prepping it and it wouldn’t be ready for 40 minutes. Waitress refused to comp us anything if we waited or since we couldn’t get what we actually came for. Several other people left to dine elsewhere because they’d run out of catfish. So we stayed and ended up with the smash burger which was missing my grilled onions however it was very good. We also tried had the hot honey lemon pepper wings which were also very good. The vibe of the restaurant itself was decent, it’s small but quaint. The music was good. The service on this date was just mediocre.

The place is small with a big vibe, amazing service, and food!!! It was my first time at the establishment and I really enjoyed myself. I went for dinner and the atmosphere was nice and intimate, real laid back feel, dimly lit with R&B music playing. My waiter was so awesome and really made my night. He was knowledgeable of the menu, and very accommodating as I couldn’t have fried food (tortilla chips) but wanted to try the taco dip appetizer. For the entrée I went with the chicken Jambalaya and it did not disappoint. I love the turkey and chicken options available. I cannot wait to return, to try more of the menu options. This place is a real jewel and I am beyond excited to have a new place to visit.

Today I had a delicious meal of Catfish, collard greens & cornbread! DELICIOUS! Last Sunday I had the Wonderful, precious, AMAZING experience of dining in with my son, 2 nieces & 2 great-nieces!
