Menus were in old album covers which was neat. Staff were friendly and helpful. My husband ordered the pad Thai and tom kha soup. Although we ordered our food to go they forgot a spoon for the soup. Thankfully the hotel we were staying at had some downstairs we were able to snag.

The food is so so so amazing, very flavorful and they get the spice level just right. We were so surprised just to see how many vegan options they had. The price everything pretty well too. I definitely will be coming back back to try out even more of their food.

I’ve been to Plai Jawak Thai a few times…uhem… in the last few weeks since they opened. They know my order when I walk in the door; though I do occasionally surprise them by ordering something different that they recommend.
The portions are great, everything is made fresh, and I love the atmosphere they’ve created, very cozy. It’s become like my second home.
Some recent favorites:
* obviously Pad Thai (it is the bomb)
* Huskies Cashew (the combo of veggies and chicken with that sauce, ah chefs kiss). I recommend getting some rice with it to soak up the sauce.
* Plai Jawak Noodle Soup. This was a sweet soup, not savory. Very aromatic and I loved the unexpected taste of the spices in it.
* Chicken Satay. I love these as an entree when I’m looking for something light or an appetizer to share. The peanut sauce was great and I liked the cucumbers as a light note.
* Potstickers. Can one really say enough about them? These here are fried to a delicious golden yumminess and served with a great dipping sauce.
Overall this is one of the best Thai places I’ve had the pleasure of eating at in the US. I highly recommend people check this place out.
