My folks and I stopped here after visiting Fort Atkinson, and I have not done much in the town of Fort Calhoun at all. I had heard good things and had this place saved in my phone we decided to stop in and I’m super glad we did. The decor and vibe of warm, worn-in wood meets historic brick is barrel-aged to perfection. We enjoyed trying a few different beers as well as whiskeys while perusing the wares and chatting with the owner and her son who could not be more friendly and welcoming. Totally hidden gem and we will definitely be back.

This is the place to go if your looking for hard to find Nebraska produced wines. If Sandy and Justus don’t have it then only the winery probably will. Too Far North has to be my favorite tasting room in Nebraska by far! The aesthetic of this place is really neat as well. Locally produced beer and spirits can also be found here. I will keep coming back over and over!

Sandy, the owner, remembers peoples names if you have been in just a couple of times! She gets to know people in order to find taste preferences and never forgets! This place has so much history being a building over a hundred years old, and it is decorated with cool historical beer and wine signs, art, and one of a kind things to sell! She finds great Nebraska wines and beers to share! Five stars from all of us!
