Absolutely phenomenal chicken, some of the best I’ve ever eaten, would go again to just get the Nashville sandwich.
I will say in retrospect this chicken is amazing and the experience is great in person, ordering on Uber Eats and Doordash is not as ideal specifically because of the tiny single containers of sauce you get. In person you get two good sizes containers of the sauce of your choice and when ordering online, you get a single smaller container. It is not nearly enough sauce for the amount of chicken you recieve, I wouldn’t lower my rating of the store over this, but I did want to mention it makes me opt to not order them online as much since I am stuck with all this chicken with no dipping sauces. I would be willing to buy a bunch of side sauces but the app only allows ranch and ketchup as the side sauces and no option for siracha mayo.

So, initially when I heard that they don’t allow cross-contamination regarding gluten, and are in fact Celiac-friendly, I have to admit it got me stoked! And for good reason because I ended up almost reviewing the place before actually trying them out, and that would be a big no-no. So last night I went during the brief time window 4 days out of the week they are open. The Nashville style gluten-free fried chicken sandwich is amazing and honestly, apart from the bread buns, I wouldn’t have known the fried chicken itself is absolutely gluten free! That, the fries, and homemade barbecue sauce were absolutely amazing and although the food is a bit pricy (kind of to be expected in this economy in a place like Santa Cruz, Ca lol) and the wait was 20 minutes, it doesn’t even matter because they absolutely nailed the dish and I had zero digestive issues and/or rashes forming, so I can certainly vouch for them! They also have very good customer service and definitely have a reputation for going above and beyond in trying to cater to their customers! They are amazing overall and I’m definitely going to be going back in the future!

The perfect fried chicken sandwich! Because fried foods tend to get more greasy as you eat, I recommend getting the coleslaw chicken sandwich to balance with a refreshing bite. Their chicken is perfectly fried—crunchy, flavorful, and juicy on the inside. The only suggestion I would give is maybe toasted brioche buns? Otherwise, everything about the sandwich was amazing. My friend and I also sat by the fire at night and the vibes were immaculate. Highly recommend!

This chicken shop would pop up in my Yelp searches frequently, so I thought I would give it a try since it is locally owned! I was really happy to see that it is operated inside of the Food Lounge of Santa Cruz. A very cozy indoor and outdoor shared space. Lots of seating!
I must say… these chicken sandwiches were INCREDIBLE. So juicy, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. Quite possibly the best fried chicken sandwich I have EVER HAD. I would easily come back here again! $10 is an awesome price as well! Very reasonable.
There was no line on a Saturday evening, but we waited 40 minutes… A huge line formed around 6 pm after we ordered too. The hype was REAL! At one point, they paused orders since they ran out of buzzers to give to customers!

This place is magical for a gluten sensitive eater. They can’t guarantee for celiac but for someone like it was incredible. The chicken was amazing, the gluten free Mac and cheese was as well. An absolute must!

Ran out of tenders, took a while to order, kind of strange vibes (12th hour) butttt, awesome spicy chicken sandwich! That ghost pepper mayo packs a kick. Chicken was thick and moist, crunchy coating, great bun, nice slaw, good pickles. Next time I’ll get the classic chicken sandwich and tenders and ghost pepper mayo and ranch on the side. They ran out of water. Don’t serve spicy chicken sandwiches and run out of water, that’s just cruel!

I was not expecting this to be this delicious! The chicken is like a whole chicken breast! It’s huge! I got the Nashville chicken sandwich with spicy habanero-ghost pepper mayo! It was spicy! But absolutely delicious! I would ask for the mayo on the side if you want to control the heat. Also mayo is great for fries! They dip the breaded chicken in spicy oil. If you don’t like spicy the fried chicken sandwich is great too! I would share an order of fries because that’s alot of fried food! It’s delicious no matter how you order. It’s only open after 5pm because it’s a shared business location with a coffee shop and bar! Super idea! Honestly, I was a little worried at first because its through back door but it’s delicious! Must try! Bonus gluten free bread!

I would say the food was great but I would also say the service was fantastic The guy at the door was very pleasant to talk to you it was our first time there he explained everything told us about each item emphasized the difference in heat on each sandwich on the spicy ones trust me when he says 7 out of 10 he means seven out of 10 they’re hot but they’re good I am going back and I do recommend to a friend. oh yeah I almost forgot a macaroni and cheese was good too.

We are visiting from Kansas City. This was out last meal before we left town based on a suggestion from an attendant within the Skate Shop on the Wharf. This was one of the best chicken sandwiches we have eaten. My 13 year old son loved the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. Compliments to all om this amazing chicken sandwich and great outdoor seating.
