Italian Gem Cafe located at 19 Center Middleboro,MA is owned and operated by Jessica Gemma. After having spent her summers in Italy with family her love of Italian cuisine was always something she craved when returning home. She decided to step away from her nursing career and open up the Cafe/bakery. At Italian Gem Cafe you can find Italian espresso, cappuccinos, lattes and Italian hot chocolate, croissants, cannolis, tiramisu and an array of desserts that fill our counter and pastry fridge. Breakfast sandwiches available all day. From 11:30 and on focaccia is available to purchase along with focaccia paninis each created with their own flavor profile. Everything is made fresh daily in house so items are limited and sell outs often.

I’m so happy we stumbled upon this little place! We were hungry and wanted some breakfast and pastries and also a coffee and were able to get all three were absolutely delicious. The staff is so friendly and kind. I bring my computer and will work from there. They bring your coffee and food right over to you. The Italian gem breakfast sandwich is probably the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had and the canola iced latte is top notch! They also have a great reward system that you can link your card right to so every time you use your card, it applies rewards. Every few visits I get a free latte! So happy to have them in town.

It was our first time in and we loved it! The breakfast sandwiches were fresh and delicious. We got the tiramisu coffee it was light and sweet 10/10.

Wonderful coffee drinks. The pastries were very good. I loved the croissant and Nutella bomboloni. The best part was my husband’s breakfast sandwich. I tried a bite and it was delicious. We will definitely be going back.

First visit to this Cafe so I’ll try to be gentle but honest. The atmosphere was simple and there was seating. Steady people coming in and out and service was decent. I ordered a latte and one of their specials (didn’t get it though) I wanted it hot but she made it cold. I’m assuming it’s because the others in my party wanted a cold one. I let it fly but then a few sips in after leaving I realized it wasn’t the cinnamon latte. This was disappointing. The other lattes ordered were just basic also, nothing with a wow factor. I also ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich. Not bad but basic. The croissant was cute though. I’ll give them points for that. Overall just a coffee shop with stated flair.

Our first time here and it was amazing. We ordered the smores lattes and grabbed a couple breakfast sandwiches. Everything was delicious! It’s so cute inside and we can’t wait to come back! We grabbed some pistachio cookies on our way out and those were incredible! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Alright Middleborough! Here we go let’s eat! Went in last Saturday for breakfast way too late around 1200pm crazy busy. Back again this morning 9:00am with my foodie crew(my family)!and Gem Italian Cafe doesn’t disappoint! Bomb diggity breakfast sandwiches, unbelievable coffee choices, and munchable pastry to die for! Their signature breakfast sandwich is honestly the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. I legitimately couldn’t believe how good it was. I’ve also probably tried 4-5 different specialty lattes now and they’ve all been delicious and always look spectacular. Every time I’ve been in the service has been friendly and prompt. Nothing but good things to say about this place. It really is a local gem of a coffee shop!

Stopped in for a quick coffee and was pleasantly surprised! The pistachio cappuccino was smooth and flavorful without being overly sweet, and the almond pastry was fresh and perfectly flaky. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly and efficient. Definitely a spot I’d visit again!

They have a good variety of pastries abs drinks. For lunch, they have paninis sandwiches.
The place looked very clean and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
I’ll definitely come back again to try their paninis.
