The history of Tanner’s starts back in the 1980s, in the town of Atchison, KS. Grandpa Tanner spent years quenching the thirsts of his friends and neighbors in this small college town where he grew up. But he had a bigger vision. With the love for his hometown in his heart (which is still there to this day), he made his way to the big city.

This is a great sport’s bar! We had an amazing waitress who was very attentive, even though we were there to watch a game and because of that, were there for several hours. The food was fresh, hot and good and the prices reasonable. Lots of really big TVs to watch games, and just an all around great atmosphere.

Called into place a to-go order and was told “we’re not doing takeout orders tonight” without any further explanation. The lady on the phone was super rude and just hung up. I usually enjoy this place and never have issues placing takeout orders, this really puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Was my favorite bar until tonight I received the absolute worst service of my life. Was having a passionate conversation with my boyfriend and an insecure girl at the bar thought I was talking badly about her. I would absolutely never do that and the girl and her man left. I was told I couldn’t have another drink because I “yelled at people” mind you I had only had one drink and DID NOT YELL AT THE GIRL.

143rd Metcalf Ordered pickup Route 66 Booga, received chopped up burger pieces instead of two burger patties. Called and asked to talk to manager and was (accidentally) hung up on. Called back and talked to someone who said they were the manager. I was told that is how the Route 66 burgers are made, like a “smash burgers”. I was amused by the “manager”.;) improved explanation.
Not sure what’s going on, but this isn’t the quality I remember. The place could use some serious management and kitchen training to get back on track. Disappointing.

Worst experience ever. I turned 21 2 months ago and the manager held my id and refused to serve me saying it was fake because my friend that was under 21 at the table didn’t order as well saying the whole table gets drinks or nobody gets drinks. Take your money elsewhere where they want your business. Needless to say we walked out.

Very Nice Sports Bar, The food is really good! I was very impressed, I really recommend the zesty Burger it was delicious, and the salad was very tasty too, the boulevard wheat Beer was very good ! Great service too
