Barnyard Grill is one of those places you might drive past without thinking twice—but don’t make that mistake. It may not look like much from the outside, but once you walk in, you’ll quickly realize you’ve found something special.
From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. Doug and Kathy are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet—they treat you like family from the get-go, and that Southern hospitality goes a long way.
We started with the fried pickles (crispy, flavorful, and addictive!), followed by burgers that were absolutely top-notch. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor—Delicious!
As Texans visiting for the first time, we were blown away by the experience. Great food, even better people, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Barnyard Grill is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. Highly recommended!

Do not let this little unassuming spot deceive you. It’s freaking phenomenal.
Doug and Cathy are so sweet to their customers and hilarious with each other. Very cozy little spot. I felt like I was back in grandma’s house.
The BBQ pork sandwich was so good! Perfect mix of sweet and tangy sauce, and the pork was SO tender.
The cheeseburger was thick and juicy, and the bacon was the perfect kind of crispy.
I don’t usually care for pickles, but I had an opportunity to try the fried ones here, and I ate half the basket.
I do love fried okra and I have changed my mind, THESE are the best ones I’ve ever had. Crispy but lightly so. You can definitely tell they regularly change their fry oil.
And the Cajun cheese fries, absolutely devine.
Perfect stop on a road trip, not too heavy, but fills you up.

What a delightful time we had- we’re from TN and came through after soccer from Jackson to Tupelo with our sons. Yelp had great reviews so we thought we’d try it. So personalized, charming and incredible! They even have salad options. The owner told us all about the diner and how the food is specifically made. Highly recommend!

EAT HERE!! We stopped in on our way back from Biloxi and this place lived up to the 4.8/5 stars! We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner. The owner asked to show my kids the kitchen, which they thought was so cool. He had them (my kids) bring our order to the cook and then they (my kids) brought out our drinks and food. The burgers were seriously “on point”! My wife ordered the “Philly Burger” and the owner said that’s the best one. He wasn’t joking my burger was really good, but the Philly burger was better! The atmosphere is fantastic and the other patrons were super friendly. If I come this way again I will for sure stop again!

Best darn cheeseburger I have had in a very long time. All of the food was marvelous. Service was superior. This place is worth the drive. This photo is just about a quarter of the slice of Oreo cheesecake that the kids got and it was delicious.

Off the beaten path but worth the short drive! They marinate all their meats overnight for incredible flavor! I had a beef Philly with fried “okrie” and my hisband had a burger with bacon and cheese fries. We also had a piece of their Oreo Pie. So full, soooo good!
