Dosirak is the Korean word for lunch box. So I understand why the portions are smaller. I thought it was a good size, I agree with other reviews it can be a bit pricey. But overall, a good meal. I got the beef soup with noodles and it was good flavor. I always appreciate purple rice from Korean restaurants, and it was perfectly cooked. The banchan of potatoes were delicious. I’d come back again.

I came here with some relatives and it was all right. The food was OK, the service was OK and the area was OK. Overall, this place is all right. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here personally with all the other options in the mall.

I loved the pork dumplings as an appetizer and the sweet and sour pork with rice! My husband liked them too but his favorite was the Korean BBQ Beef Bulgogi! The restaurant is at the top of the stairs and by the elevator on the second floor of the Eden Prairie Asian Mall. We loved the eating experience! ❤️

Let me tell you, I’ve been here a couple of times and at first they were okay. I kept coming back for the beef short ribs, kalbi, because I genuinely liked it, but my last time there was the last time ever. I ordered the combo beef ribs with the kimchi chi gae soup, which was always my goto. The lady taking my order must of just heard beef and put in the beef Bulgogi instead of the ribs. She didn’t repeat the order to me. So when the order came out I said I didn’t order this and I ordered the ribs. She apologized and offered a free soda, went back to the kitchen to get it fixed. I didn’t really care for the free soda as I just wanted my food. So I didn’t grab drink. She came back rather quickly and indicated that I in fact did order it and I need to take the food. I assumed the kitchen must of pushed back because her demeanor changed. I told her…uh no? I did NOT order this and I’m not eating it. She says if I want the ribs I need to pay for it, so I was thinking just the difference but she was going to charge me the full amount for another portion of meat. I literally told her im not eating 2 servings of meat and im not touching the bulgogi because it wasn’t what I asked for. I just want the ribs and i’ll pay the difference in upcharge for the ribs but not eating what I didn’t order. So she went back to the kitchen probably to inform this. As I was sitting there I noticed A THICK layer of oil on top of the kimchi chi gae soup. Mind you I’ve eaten here before so this thick layer of soup was not normal. I was disgusted and just felt like I lost my appetite completely with the poor customer service and the gross layer of oil on top. I just told her I wanted a full refund and not eating anything.
We went to the next door chinese place and got yummy food. Don’t waste your money here on mediocre overpriced food.
They officially lost a customer.

Very pricey for small portions. Flavors were very good. Only one cashier but it’s soft opening so more hiring will happen hopefully l. Service was very pleasant which is very nice to experience. Great to experience but wouldn’t order again due to pricing. Prefer to go to other korean restaurants I’ve been to in my area. Definitely try!
(a) $21.95 Beef bulgogi & Soondubu-beef was tender, not charred which we notmally like, and the soup was okay but on the bland side. Accompanied with a small water, two side (fish cakes & kimchi) and rice.
(b) $24.95 Beef ribs & doonjaeng-ribs were tender and delicious but again not as Charred as we’d normally like. The soup was very delicious. Accompanied with a small water, two sides (kimchi & fish cakes), and rice.
**the kimchi was very well seasoned and crunchy. Yum!
**the cabbage salad was enjoyable. The dressing is mayo based, similar to spicy mayo though.
(c) $15.95 or $17.95 (can’t remember) Kkanpung Saeu (deep fried battered shrimp). Accompanied with small water, rice and one side (cabbage salad).

I ordered the chicken bulgogi and added on the soup for an extra $5. The bulgogi set was underwhelming: small portions, good but as if you made it at home with a premade marinade. The kimchi stew had no meat and 2 pieces of tofu. It also tasted incredibly watery, no flavor at all. Convenient for its location but for $20, i would save your money and go to an actual Korean restaurant

Visited Dosirak at Asia Mall over the weekend and was impressed with how quickly we received our orders despite the crowd. I opted for the beef bulgogi; it was flavorful, albeit a tad salty for my taste. The meal came with three Banchan – potato tempura (a bit too hard, yet I ended up finishing it), yellow beansprouts, and kimchi. Pleasantly, the portion was generous enough for two meals. Would recommend for a quick and hearty meal.

We came to the Asian Mall on the Lunar New Year and decided to get lunch. The food is delicious and the staff are so friendly. Not a huge menu, but the portions are larger than I expected. We will be back.
