I was really excited to eat here, I found it driving through the alleyway it’s in and then looked it up to find food tours stop here, which got be hyped! To preface this, I’m vegetarian so BBQ isn’t the best genre for me to review but, there is room for sides! That being said, the sides were nothing to write home about. However, my date got the chicken and licked the plate clean! Something I can review is the sweet tea (I’m an affection-ado) and it was wayyy too sweet ☹️ All in all, the service was phenomenally nice and the ambiance was unique so 4 stars for you should try, but nothing to go back to.

A literal hole in the wal restaurant. It is in an alley, and when we first found it we were surprised to find it where it is.
Very friendly and homey atmosphere. The food was good, but a tad pricey.

Very cool hole in the wall place. Got a sampling of all meats and did not disappoint. Sides are good too and service is very friendly. Highly recommended.

Great service, mom and pop shop with outstanding food, but limited seating. The potato salad, collard greens, mac-n-cheese, and red beans and rice took me back to childhood. Rum cake was outstanding and so was the devil crab.

I’m only putting the stars here to not mess up their rating. When I went the restaurant was closed due to Covid 19. I was really looking forward to trying what the locals were calling the best BBQ in town. Maybe next time.
Important to note… The restaurant is on a half street/alleyway, so the GPS didn’t take me directly there.

If you like BBQ this is the place to go in Savannah. Pulled pork was fresh and hot. Mac n cheese and potato salad were great. For dessert we had the banana pudding and it was excellent as well. This place is hard to find but definitely worth the excursion. Great and friendly service.

“About as authentic and delicious as it gets”
Could not have been more delighted to have found this hidden gem. When we arrived my wife almost decided to leave this “hole in the wall” but we were so delighted that we stayed! Given that this place cooks everything for scratch fresh daily but only enough for 1 day (even prepare their own bbq sauce) and we had arrived an hour before closing most items were sold out, but we got to try their delicious and tender pork ribs and fried flounder fish. The ribs were falling off of the bone and just cooked so tasty and the fish was very lightly battered, both were served with very generous portions. For sides we tried the mac and cheese, candied yams, potato salad and black-eyed peas and delicious hot corn bread. We followed our dinner with a slice of apple bread pudding. I highly recommend anyone to check out this place, it can be hard to find since it is located in an alley, but once that food comes you will be delighted. Also, the service was great and the owners are so nice, while we were there it poured down with rain and they even offered to call their cousin to take us to our car. Southern hospitality at it’s warmest!

The food was very good, but the experience was even nicer. I found this place thanks to Google Maps, so I’m paying it forward. Wall’s has been around since 1963. It’s been owned by the same family for three generations. The level of service here is phenomenal. There’s a tiny dining room and a small kitchen, but the people are so friendly that you don’t mind a bit.
It’s a bit hidden between two actual roads. The “Lane” shown on Google Maps is more of an alley. It’s more the worth the extra effort of finding.
P.S. Try the devil crab. With the spicy sauce.
