We have left the cabin behind, and are now operating the kitchen adjoined to Chubby’s on hwy 16 in Pipe Creek serving fresh, never frozen hand-crafted burgers. We start with a huge fresh patty, cooked to perfection, and add some flare with our house made sauces and condiments. We also offer kid portions and a kids menu.

Stumbled upon this place on the way to Houston and it was amazing. We had a mushroom swiss and cheeseburger and they were both delicious! The staff is so friendly and even gave us a sample of their homemade fry sauce, onion rings and ranch. I’m pinning this place to come back next time we’re in the area.

Nice dog friendly had 3 tables in front. BUT YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR THE CHUBBYS SIGN or you will never find Jo Mammas . My husband and I both had the chicken BLT. It came with american cheese (i would have rather had swiss) but it was really good lots of bacon. I also got 2 orders of FF added very hot not greasy. They were crinkle cut. Also got the chicken tenders. They were ok. We were so full from the sandwiches that we took of the breading and gave the chicken meat to our dogs.we did take a taste 1st. Also had 1 can of sprite.(only coke products) Total bill with a tip was 52.00.

Stopped at Jo Mama’s Place in Pipe Creek on the way back to San Antonio after a long morning of hiking. My husband got the jalapeño popper burger with fries, and I got the frito burger. The best burgers we have had in a while and were 3/4 lb so we left full. Love to try small town Texas mom and pop places like this. Included the menu in the post.

Jo Mama’s Place has some fantastic burgers. We had the Jalapeño popper burger, and the maple bacon burger. Both were delicious. I really enjoyed the raspberry chipotle sauce that complemented the jalapeño, cream cheese, and bacon. The fries were fresh and perfectly fried/ seasoned. Can’t wait to go back and try some other burgers!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our burgers but the service was slower than we anticipated as it didn’t seem very busy. It seemed to me this was due to orders being placed over the phone. Sodas for sale are canned and limited options. We really enjoyed the chill atmosphere so that made it a bit easier to just relax while we waited for our food.
If we return we’ll probably place our order over the phone when we’re 10 minutes out and bring our own sodas. But the burgers are worth trying at least once.

On a friend’s recommendation, I decided to go try it out and have now been now several times. Casey and the staff are all amazing, Always great service and conversation. And the food… The food is beyond excellent! HUGE fresh burgers.. Some of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten, great chicken sandwich, A BLT to die for … Definitely recommend.

Every time we come here, we’re greeted with such a warm welcome from the entire staff—even the chefs. When we go out for burgers, we usually order a classic cheeseburger, but with a twist: we add an extra chicken patty for more flavor and protein. We call it the “Kody” burger! We’ve ordered this same style at many burger joints and restaurants, but Jo Mama’s takes the win by far for the best burger. We absolutely love it here and highly recommend it! It is not on the menu …. yet but they customize our order to exactly what we love. Thanks to you all !

What an AMAZING lunch experience! I’ve driven by this place a hundred times and finally stopped in today with my parents.
Jody and Jodi were both incredibly warm and friendly, and it’s clear they both take pride in their food and their customers.
I had the pimento cheese bacon burger (OMG… delish!!), dad had the maple bacon burger, and mom went with a classic bacon cheeseburger. We all shared an order of the best sweet potato fries I’ve had in my life!
I really love their wide selection of specialty burgers, as well as the crazy diverse menu as a whole. Don’t drive by this place… stop in and grab an AWESOME lunch!!
